We are currently staying at this hotel and are very disappointed with how misleading the room photos are compared to the actual room. The space is significantly smaller than what is advertised on the website, and had we known this, we would have booked a larger room from the start.

What’s especially frustrating is that we’re more than willing to pay to upgrade to a bigger room, but the reservations team has not yet gotten back to us, despite being told by the front desk that only reservations can make changes. This has left us stuck in a room that doesn’t meet our expectations for comfort, especially while on vacation.

We’re hoping the hotel will respond and help resolve this issue as soon as possible, because the location and staff at the front desk have otherwise been fine. This stay could be much better if the room descriptions and photos were more accurate and if upgrade requests were handled more promptly.

Booked a room to stay for the night and it was a terrible decision. The whole hotel smelled really bad even the room. Smelled like it was wet or something. Very difficult to reach someone over the phone at front desk, they never answer the hotels phone. Front desk staff seemed friendly upon arrival though.

Do not fall for the fake photos. This place is a rundown, moldy, rusty mess.

The room stinks nonstop, and everything feels loose, cheap, or ready to break. The mattress is paper thin, sleeping here is awful.

The bathroom is disgusting, broken tiles, obvious water damage, and a swollen moldy door that will not close. They use portable AC units instead of real air conditioning.
Save your money. Avoid this place.

Do not fall for the scam — the pictures are fake.
This hotel is old, moldy, rusty, and completely neglected. Nothing in this room feels solid or properly attached — everything is loose, weak, or falling apart.
There is a terrible smell throughout the room that never goes away. The mattress is extremely thin and uncomfortable, making it hard to sleep at all.
The bathroom is a disaster: broken tiles everywhere, a mold-swollen door that won’t even close, and clear water damage. They use portable air conditioners instead of real AC, which says a lot.
On top of that, there are small hidden fees that are only mentioned on their own website, not on booking sites or elsewhere, which feels very misleading.
This place is misleading, poorly maintained, and absolutely not worth the money. Avoid at all costs.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a hotel. Our flight was canceled from Miami, and it was in the 11:00 hour, but apparently Booking.com wouldn't look for a room for us for the same day. But the person I talked to on the phone insinuated that they had rooms available but if booking.com didn't show it, they didn't allow walk-ins, which is absurd. If this is an example of their customer service, I would never want to stay here and will not.

Room was clean and was able to check my bag in before check in. Angel at the front desk was fantastic at her hospitality.

Is by far the worst experience in my life Ever. The person behind the desk call herself angel. Rude, arrogant and disrespectful person that I have ever met in a front desk. I can not believe but pictures and video are worth a 1,000 and judge yourself. I have several videos. I am disappointed because this woman represents my home city for tourists so I am going to forward the video with the Miami Beach Tourism office and the media. She is not fit to work with people specially Disabled people.

We were booked into this hotel by cruise 1st as part of a cruise package for 1 night
We needed a taxi to cruise terminal the following day and enquired at reception re taxi and told they could organise one costing 40-50 dollars.
The following morning we duly asked reception to book a taxi which turned up promptly loaded us and suit cases and proceeded to take us on a long journey to the terminal, when I enquired at one point when we could see the cruise terminal on our left side why we were going further away I was told traffic issues, anyway when we eventually arrived at the terminal a bill of 170 dollars had accumulated which we had to pay , the driver even asking if we were going to add a tip !!!
I warn anyone using this hotel of our experience as I hope when reception staff phone a taxi they use trusted reputable known taxis so I can only assume the reception staff are complicit in this rip off or are certainly aware of the taxi company and why are they using them.I have told cruise 1st and the hotel of our experience in the hope that this won't happen to other guests
at this hotel but Beware !!

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve had in the last 10 years of traveling in the USA. From cleanliness to staff behavior, everything was handled poorly. I’m writing this review to help others make an informed decision before booking.
1. Severe mildew smell throughout the room
The room had a very strong mildew/mold smell, and the hotel tried to mask it with an overpowering air freshener. The combination was unbearable and made staying in the room extremely uncomfortable.
2. Room access through the restaurant + late-night noise
Our room was located in the same building as the restaurant, and the only way to access it was by walking through the restaurant every time. This was highly inconvenient and awkward.
To make matters worse, cleaning and setup work was done after 11 PM, creating loud noise that made it impossible to sleep.
3. No proper heating in winter
We stayed during winter, and nights were very cold. The heater in the room would not heat beyond 65°F, making the room freezing. When we asked the staff for help, they acted completely indifferent and provided only one blanket.
We were forced to buy a portable heater with our own money just to sleep comfortably, which is unacceptable for a hotel stay.
4. No phone in the room & unreachable staff
There is no phone in the room to contact the front desk. The mobile numbers provided by the hotel were useless—no one answered.
I called six times over two consecutive days with no response. Eventually, I had to physically walk to the reception desk, which is located in a different building from the room.
5. No housekeeping during a 4-night stay
Our room was never cleaned during our entire 4-night stay. When we requested cleaning between 9 AM and 2 PM, we were told housekeeping only starts after 3 PM.
This makes no sense since check-in starts at 4 PM, which strongly suggests we were being lied to. We specifically needed the room cleaned earlier because we had an early morning Everglades trip and needed to rest in the afternoon.
6. Uneven mattress causing back pain
The mattress was uneven and uncomfortable, causing back pain and affecting our sleep throughout the stay.
7. Roaches in the bathroom
We found roaches in the bathroom, which clearly indicates poor cleanliness and lack of proper maintenance.

Final verdict:
There was nothing positive about this hotel—neither service, comfort, cleanliness, nor staff attitude. The staff consistently behaved as if they were doing us a favor by letting us stay there.
I would strongly advise travelers to avoid this hotel, especially during winter or if you value basic hygiene, sleep, and responsive customer service

I’ll start with the positives:

The Tavern restaurant at this hotel was really nice — good prices, friendly staff, and good food. I also loved the surprise bottomless happy hour for hotel guests from 5 to 6 PM.

We stayed in the Studio Queen, and the room size was great for the price compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel is also very close to beach access (about a 5-minute walk). Beach towels, bath towels, washcloths, ice, and coffee were provided for free throughout our stay, which was appreciated.

However, there were some major downsides.

There are two pool photos shown on Google, but only the small pool with no sun actually belongs to this hotel. The nicer beachfront pool is located at their former “sister hotel,” which is not only a 15-minute walk away, but they also no longer collaborate with them. Essentially, the main reason I booked this hotel was not available. As a so-called replacement, they offer access to a very unattractive pool at another hotel even farther away — I honestly don’t know who would want to go there.

On top of that, the balcony was not directly attached to the room. You have to open your front door to access it, it faces a common guest area, so there is absolutely no privacy, and it gets no sun at all, despite what the photos suggest. This is 100% false advertising.

Upon arrival, we noticed that the floors were still dirty. We contacted the hotel the following day to report the issue, but even by the third day, the floors had not been re-cleaned.

We were only provided with one towel per person for an entire week, and just one washcloth, despite the booking being for two guests. After the fourth day, when housekeeping finally came, they removed all the towels and the washcloth without replacing them. They only changed the bed sheets, and the floors were still dirty.

Once again, we reported the still dirty floors, but by the seventh day, when we checked out, they never came back to vacuum or clean them.

Additionally, the bathroom fan was not working, so whenever we took a hot shower, the steam would trigger the fire alarm — definitely not pleasant.

These basic housekeeping issues were very disappointing and significantly affected our stay.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.

The staff was shockingly rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. I requested room cleaning twice, and it was ignored both times. When I asked again, the staff responded in an extremely disrespectful and dismissive manner, as if guests are an inconvenience rather than customers.

The room itself was unacceptable. There was a strong, unpleasant smell, and the window could not be opened at all, making it impossible to ventilate the room. The bedding was in poor condition and felt unhygienic. The bathroom water pressure was extremely weak, to the point where showering was frustrating.

To make things worse, the microwave was locked inside a cabinet that requires a password, so guests cannot even use basic amenities freely. This is absurd and completely impractical.

Overall, this hotel fails at the most basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, and customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. Save your money and your sanity by staying elsewhere.

Oooohhh where to even begin! If you are considering this place for location and convenience of being close to the beach… please reconsider your decision. I walked into the hotel to check-in and it smelled odd which should have been a red flag already but we were excited for our trip and checked in anyways. Went to our building and realized the smell was even worst than the hotel lobby, which smelled of a damp moldy odor covered up with an awful grandma smelling cheap perfume. The room smelled the same and then our sink didn’t work so we reported that. No one ever fixed our sink and the next morning woke up to a large bug and did not think too much of it but we reported it. They got rid of the bug later that evening … and the next day we found another and looked more into it realizing that large bug was a roach and at this point we had enough and left. We were told we were going to get refunded and then later got an email after our trip that we violated our contract on our stay by leaving early, therefore they were unable to give us a refund(did not know bugs such as roaches where in our contract and apart of our stay). This place does not deserve anyone’s money and not once had the property manager reached out to us regarding our stay at the hotel. If you are looking for a better stay without roaches I’d recommend Maison Felix about 6 minutes down the road! They just opened and that’s where we finished our trip, where I had staff treat us so amazing and was the only good thing about our trip was leaving to go there. This place should probably be investigated because the more Google comments you read you will see this is a running trend with them. Don’t bother reaching out to the property manager… he is “on vacation”. Honestly spending a little more money for a better trip and experience is the way to go!

Average quality but with many flaws in terms of cleanliness. They didn't clean every day or sweep the room. They only put out new towels and not always the correct number.
VERY IMPORTANT: They did not return my deposit.
Although there is a receipt clearly stating that the transaction was not completed, they refused to return the deposit.
