[Late review, btw. Day of visit: March 15th 2025] After we disembarked the MSC Seascape Cruise with our Holistic Holiday At Sea group, i end up planning to meet with 4 of them ( my parents) at PLANTA in Miami, FL. before our flight back home (PRđ”đ· in my case) I devoured the Crispy Chick'n Sandwich that uses 'eat meati' brand. I am glad they use a different brand of đ±plant-based chick'n. Aren't we tired of always getting the same Beyond Burger or Chick'n & Impossible Burger or Chick'n? At least i am. I always like seeing different vegan restaurants offering and using other brands to give the Animal-Muscle-Eating costumers (aka Flesh-Eaters) a try of different ones. Most people already have tried 'Beyond Meat' & 'Impossible Foods' products. â ïžIdk what else to add for a personal opinion on Cons, since it was my first ever visit. At least i dont think or remember anything else i disliked. If you're not Vegan For The Animals, You're An Animal Abuser. No lie... but you should stop being one, go watch & bear witness to all the animal oppression & exploitation you are complicit in by googling âWatchDominion.com (2hr documentary) âDontWatch.org (7min video) Free help by signing up on Challenge22.com (Desafio22 para español)
We ordered Baked Crab Rolls and Spinach & Artichoke dip to go. First, they forgot to pack the Baked Crab Rolls. We had to return to the restaurant after walking half-way to our car. Second, the food tasted below average. Iâm a fan of Planta in Coconut Grove and it had never disappointed me. But this food was just tasteless. We couldnât taste artichoke in the dip. It wasnât even a dip, just a thick block of shredded spinach. Canât recommend at all. Iâm left disappointed.

Planta Miami is stylish and trendy. The spicy tuna sushi was amazing - youâd never guess itâs vegan. The summer rolls werenât my favorite since the cabbage was slimey but they were healthy. The house burger was decent, with the cheese and sauce making it better. The spaghettini carbonara was tasty, and my friend really enjoyed it. The fries were just okay, nothing special. I really appreciated how seriously the staff took my friendâs nut allergy. They were super careful and accommodating, which was great to see. A nice perk is that if you use the InKind app, you can get $25-$30 off your first bill. Would I return? Probably, especially for the sushi. đ Updated from previous review on 2025-03-17
CUSTOMER CHANGING DIRTY DIAPER NEXT TO OUR TABLE!!! Spoke to the manager and she acted as if it was completely normal standards in a restaurant. Unfortunately the staff and management did not want to address the issue with the couple changing dirty diapers in the middle of a restaurant because they were Caucasian. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING especially right before we are about to have a meal. You can smell the dirty diaper from here. Enjoy eating at this venue because you are most likely sitting where a babyâs dirty diaper was changed and disposed of out with FECAL MATTER circulating through the seating area and not in a baby changing station inside of a sanitary restroom, which they have and make no use of. VERY DISAPPOINTING to witness. Immediately lost my appetite and left. Management was very condescending and disrespectful, they wanted to ignore the situation and make us feel unwelcome and vocally asked us to leave because someone else was being unsanitary at their own restaurant!!
Kid-friendliness: Planta is extremely kid friendly to the extent where they allow a mother and father to openly change a soiled diaper with fecal matter out in the open at their dinner table in a packed restaurant. Nothing better than having the smell of baby excrement before having your first bite of food. VERY DISRESPECTFUL

Unsanitary and Unacceptable Dining Experience
I have never had a more disgusting dining experience than at Planta. A customer at the table next to us was changing a babyâs diaper right at their table, and the strong smell of fecal matter filled the air. It was completely unsanitary and made us lose our appetite. We immediately brought this to the attention of the staff, expecting them to handle the situation appropriately, but they did little to address it. The fact that this was tolerated in a dining establishment is beyond unacceptable. We left without finishing our meal and will never be returning. I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone who values cleanliness and basic hygiene standards.
Kid-friendliness: Yes. They allow you to change dirty diapers at the table and not bathroom.

We went to Planta Miami last night for dinner, and it was, hands down, one of the worst dining experiences weâve had. The food was completely off in both taste and presentation.
The Bao Taco was overwhelmingly salty, almost inedible.
The Beef and Broccoli tasted like it was drenched in syrup, way too sweet to enjoy.
My friend ordered a cocktail, which barely had any alcohol in it.
At the end of our dinner, when we politely mentioned to our server that the food was disappointing, his response was shockingly rude and condescending: âThatâs why you finished it all?â
Excuse me? As paying customers, what are we supposed to do? Throw away food we just spent money on? This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable in any restaurant, let alone one that markets itself as high end.
To top it off, our server was snarky, arrogant, and dismissive the entire night, making our dining experience even worse. We expected great food and service, and instead, we got overpriced, poorly prepared food and an obnoxious server with zero professionalism.
If youâre looking for a place with good food and respectful service, stay FAR away from Planta. There are plenty of better vegan restaurants in Miami that actually care about their customers.

Fabulous food, really tasty, if we werenât leaving tomorrow weâd definitely be back. Lovely decor and atmosphere as well, highly recommended.
Disappointed. I came here excited after reading so many positive reviews. I decided to try the bang bang brocoli and dragon roll sushi that people recommend here in the reviews.
The dragon roll sushi was nice (it wasn't spicy at all despite it claiming to be). It also kept falling apart when I tried to hold it with chopsticks.
The bang bang brocoli, though, wasn't good at all. It wasn't crispy and tasted rather mushy in the mouth. Safe to say it wasn't banging. The only thing that made it better was a spicy mayo.
Our server was really nice but food took a lot of time to come out. The place is dimly lit but I'm sure it will look beautiful in the day or with brighter lights.

I needed a good vegan restaurant and a quiet cozy nice place to stay outside and enjoy the Miami tropical night, relax for a solo dinner doing solo stuff y'know, work, reading, lists, calls etc so since I wasn't far from Planta I decided to go there, I had been to Planta years ago in West Palm Beach and loved it but first time I went to the Miami one. The food is exquisite, atmosphere so relaxing outside with the dim lights and the beautiful traveler's tree complimenting the palm trees. I really appreciated that their music wasn't loud as I was looking for a quiet place and it can be so stressful and tiring when music is loud so much when you're by yourself just wanting to relax as when you're with people because it can become difficult to have a comfortable convo (the server told me you can also request to adjust volume so that's definitely a plus) so I would give them five star on the atmosphere point, five stars one the food quality but the portions are small, I would have wanted at least another 1/3 of that salad I ordered! :( Samantha and Camila(?) (I'm not sure I remember the second person's name correctly I'm sorry! But I think they will know who they are because I asked her for her name) from service is very sweet and friendly, I felt comfortable. Unfortunately the Wifi went in and out but luckily I didn't need to use it for most of the time I was there only towards the end I tried to connect to it because I was using internet from my phone and reading something, but it could have been an inconvenient and a negative point because wifi is an important aspect and this restaurant isn't cheap but pretty standard prices for Miami especially this area. I would go back again for a nice meal with family, also because from what I remember from the West Palm location the decadent desserts are a must share, I on the other hand could not finish this portion size on my own.

We were underwelmed with the food here. The pizzas and burger were okay nothing special, and the spinach artichoke dip tasted like they sweetened it and it was not good. From all the rave reviews and their high cost of food we expected to be blown away by it, but were disappointed.

Fantastic service and delicious food BUT Iâve been to quite a few PLANTAâs in New York and this one was just not quite up to par- the service was brilliant but the preparation/timing of some of my fave dishes and some new dishes was a bit off.
I came for Valentineâs Day with my husband and was one of the first tables to be seated (we had an early 5:45 res) and yet the pacing of our set menu meal was quite off. We watched the tables next to us (who were seated and ordered after us) get served dishes we had ordered while we waited patiently.
The food was good but not great. I felt the sushi was excellent (I always get the torched and pressed and it did not disappoint) but the Kale Caesar with kelp noodles was a bit underwhelming (kelp noodles had little flavor just a strange gooey texture). The Poke Bowl was delicious but missing the carrot salmon mentioned in the menu description, when we asked the server about it she said it doesnât come with that. It was still very delicious! And then the Japanese Steak was a bit of a letdown- felt like it was very dry and missing a glaze or sauce. The sweet potato was steamed or baked and just had dry furijake on it (maybe some spicy aioli or mayo would have been nice here) and the Chomps steak was nice but super dry and maybe a bit overcooked. Iâve had the good fortune of buying and cooking a chomps steak myself, and felt this had been cooked way too long.
Overall I love supporting vegan and vegetarian places. I would absolutely come again but just avoid a few dishes and maybe holiday set menus when the kitchen is overwhelmed and a bit delayed.
And seriously, the service was SO FRIENDLY and kind! It really made our experience special despite the food issues.

Food is tasty. But sushi rolls are smaller size than other restaurant provides. And also very expensive for couple we paid 105$ even we were not full. Ambience was good. Staff was good.

Before our vacation flight home we took a bus ride to south beach just to eat lunch at Planta. I wimped out and ordered the reuben with ceasar side salad, wife ordered chick'n salad. Fried mushrooms for appetizer and a Rosarita cocktail. I wish we'd waited until happy hour and could have saved a small fortune. The place is pricey$$$. Reuben was very good but ceasar side salad was horrible. Repeat, horrible. Should've had fries. Anything would have tasted better. Chick'n salad was big and was tasty. Fried mushrooms were ok but not great and not worth $$. Rosarita cocktail was great but overpriced. Wish we'd come during happy hour for more of those. Service was pleasant and venue is very nice -- except for the disgusting gag-inducing stains on some of the windows that look like giant bird poop skidmarks. I can't understand why management hasn't done something about that. They could easily cover those portions of the windows on the inside with a graphic or something without sacrificing any light, good views or ambiance. Anyway, overall I'm glad we went, but we could have stayed in Miami or tried another place in south beach and easily had as good a meal and experience for much less.
Everything was very tasty. I online have a little criticism to the fact that a lot of dishes were unavailable at request.
Delicious meal, lots of choice in a beautiful setting.
