We were on the hunt for some gelato and shaved ice cream in the area. All the restaurants along Miami Beach seemed like tourist traps, so we walked a few blocks to try this place. We ordered the shaved ice and a cup of Mangonada. The shaved ice came in two flavors, and we did a mix of Pina Colada and strawberry. The strawberry tasted too artificial for my taste, but the Pina Colada was just what I needed.
It was our first time trying Mangonada, and the spicy and salty combination with mango and ice cream felt a bit strange, but it was definitely unique (for us). Personally, I wouldn't go for it again, as I found the ice cream/popsicle too hard to bite into. The lady behind the counter was also nice, so if you’re looking for a hassle-free ice cream experience near the beach, I would recommend this place.

Saw the mural outside on the wall, and stopped to take a picture. Then, I saw the Mangonada picture on the ice cream shop window. Sold! I had to get one. I was not disappointed! It was soooo good! I would have liked to try the food, but the Mangonada was enough! The fresh mangos on top were great!
