4 staff working who totally ignored the line of customers. They were all joking between themselves and didn’t care people were waiting. When I asked if anyone was going to take orders they guy glared at me as if to say your disturbing our conversation.
If I were the manager reading this I would be deeply concerned for my business. 4 people walked out who would have spent money here just whilst I was in here.
This store is taking Starbucks customer service to a new low.

I stopped at this Starbucks to look for some merchandise I wanted to buy. They didn’t have it, so before leaving I asked for a cup of water. The barista wasn’t even at the register, so he had no idea whether I had purchased anything or not but immediately, and loud enough for everyone around to hear, he said, “Water is only for customers.”
It wasn’t the policy that bothered me, it was how he said it. The tone was rude, dismissive, and honestly embarrassing. There was zero hesitation, zero courtesy, and zero effort to speak to me respectfully. He just assumed I wasn’t a customer and made it awkward for no reason.
I felt uncomfortable enough that I just left. A simple, polite explanation would’ve gone a long way. Instead, it was the attitude that left the bad impression not the policy.

Lovely branch located on Ocean Drive. I stopped here twice whilst in Miami. Excellent service both times. Friendly staff. The first time I went for breakfast. I got a Caffè Americano and the Everything Bagel with a side of Plain Cream Cheese. Lovely and simple. The bagel was perfectly toasted. The second time I got a Matcha Latte with Extra Hot Oat milk. It was a chilly evening in Miami and a hot drink was needed. Warm and comforting. Lovely sheltered outdoor seating area. Located opposite The Betsy Hotel.

One of the best Starbucks ever!
Beautiful location right on Ocean Drive — the outdoor seating area makes it truly special, perfect for relaxing and watching the Miami vibe go by. The coffee is excellent as always, staff are friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is pure South Beach.
Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks in the world. 🌴☕️

Terribly mismanaged for the following reasons: shortage of staff, slow service, and doesn’t accept app orders most of the time
Yet; I will miss having the coffee by the beach

This Starbucks is completely dysfunctional. Mobile ordering wasn’t even an option because the store wasn’t accepting them, so I had to wait in line for 25 minutes—only to find out they were out of cold brew. Might as well walk next door to Pura Vida for a coffee instead.

Antonelli was really sweet, but I feel so bad the staff is heavily pressured to immediately ambush customers the moment they enter, while they are doing their order, and say things like, “I am going to have to ask you to leave, since you haven’t ordered anything”. 🥺
I love my international Starbucks family and this is a daily ritual for me. I understand the rational for the new policy, but I feel so bad for the staff who are being pressured and criticized for not immediately ambushing customers to purchase food the moment they walk in the door or sit down. 🤔
This poor girl was in tears and apologized profusely as I politely and calmly showed her that I was working on my order. ☕️
I explained that I understand the policy, but I often order several items for myself and others. My orders can be complicated and can take a couple minutes to complete, especially when taking multiple requests from others who are deciding what they want. 🌻
I will continue to suggest in my travels that you give the person at least five minutes before you ambush them, unless you perceive danger or a threat from the potential customer.⏳
I often work at Starbucks and have meetings in the cafe. I may switch to Panera if I continue to be ambushed in this way, as I know Panera will not ambush me or upset the staff by requiring managers and staff ambush customers on immediate arrival at the cafe. 🤗
From the top down, the way this policy is being implemented really seems like they need to learn from Chick Fillet or other places with similar policies, so it can be implement in a less rushed, less stressful, and less aggressive way.💡
I planned on ordering more today, but only ordered one item and quickly left after noticing the stressful vibe of multiple staff. 🏃♀️
Praying for transformation, kindness, love, patience, laughter, and peace to fill this place.
God bless. You are loved. 💕 Jn 3:16
Tourist be aware.
I know weed might be legal, but please don’t come high to work. If that wasn’t the case, my apologies but we were scammed for 10 dollars. Didn’t get the change and when confronted about it the employee just shrugged his shoulders. So again, I don’t know if it was on purpose or not, or the employee was high or he scammed us, but that was our experience, and just simply want to warn the foreigners. The drinks nothing to complain.
