Our experience here was mediocre at best. I was excited to try a new restaurant in the area and heard about Sumak, before so we decided to check it out. For the positive, the ambiance was wonderful and made us feel the rest of the experience would be promising. When the waitress came to take our order, I knew right away that the service fee would be included in the meal (as are many restaurants in the area). She was cold and to the point with taking our order and warmed up a little bit as the evening progressed, but we were a bit disappointed with the lack of friendliness at the establishment. When food came, we enjoyed it mostly, though found everything to be under seasoned. Food did come out pretty quickly for the most part. We did place an order for Kunefe along with our order because we know it takes long to prepare and wanted it right after our meal. The tea was served right away but we waited for the dessert- it should have been served together. Minor detail, but it is a relatively pricey establishment that should know better and really work on service and hospitality. We did not feel welcome there and we do not care to come back or recommend this establishment to anyone. When I paid for the bill, the waitress just assumed that I did not want any change back. It was a mere few dollars, but that just shows how unaware they are about taking care of their customers.

Sumak is a true gem! Every detail was perfect – from the beautifully chosen utensils, plates, and cups to the warm, inviting ambiance. The service was impeccable, with staff who were attentive, polite, and exceptionally professional. Special thanks to Zafer and our lovely server, Elani, who made the experience unforgettable.
The food was beyond expectations – every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. My friend and I loved every moment and even recommended the place to another friend the next day! Bravo to the Sumak team for creating such a fantastic experience.

I recently dined at this restaurant with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday, and it was a delightful experience. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I was particularly impressed by the professionalism of the staff, who were courteous and attentive throughout our meal. The owner, Zafer, was also very polite and made sure we felt welcome. This commitment to customer satisfaction truly enhanced our evening. Overall, it was amazing!
I’m totally blown away by this amazing restaurant in a little corner of Miami Beach! They deserve more recognition. I’ll recommend this place to anyone with my eyes closed. The food is extraordinary, very very delicious Turkish cuisine. Servers were delightful. They gave us some extra bread and tea at the end of our dinner. We had such a good time here last night. The place, tableware, dishes, table cutlery, everything is extremely beautiful. I hope to come back here as soon as I can honestly. ❤️
