My dinner was cut short due to food poisoning from my prior night’s meal in Little Havana, but I had to leave a generous review because of the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff at Mareva1939. Our server took the time to explain recommendations and confirm any cheese preferences since we ordered a cheeseboard and a salad with cheese. Unfortunately, I had an accident and had to leave because I couldn’t even keep water down. I was mortified. But they made me feel human and invited me to come back when I feel better. Although my trip to Miami is over, we enjoyed the leftovers and I will return. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, in a calm, respectful, and beautiful atmosphere. Thank you, Mareva1939, for your incredible display of humanity on Thursday night, (March 16th)! I won’t forget it.

Had a reservation. Showed up on time, and yet was refused the access to the restaurant for the first time in my life! Allegedly because my son was less than 14 years old, and that is the minimum age to access the restaurant (??) They said it is mentioned on OpenTable but I double checked and nothing was mentioned over there nor on their website.... Outrageous.

You are missing out if you haven’t eaten here. Amazing ambience; the view of the pool is unequaled. Food is excellent. Staff is lovely. Possibly the best Spanish restaurant in Miami Beach.

Going to Mareva 1939 is like going to a hidden gem in SOBE. Such a classic, artistic, and vibrant ambiance that mirrors perfect with the Spanish cuisine. It’s irresponsible of us not to order the amazing appetizers, paellas, and exquisite deserts. Chef definitely has a fine tune on the spices. Always an honor to ask and to be served by Olga, she makes the experience worthwhile and provides amazing recommendations. Great for an amazing date and a photo op!

Our experience start to finish was stellar. Our hostess was engaging and courteous. Our server was knowledgeable and curated the menu for us. And her selections were incredible. Glasses never ran dry. The vibe and ambiance were incredible. 5 stars all around.

Amazing meal! When we noticed it was inside a hotel, we wondered, but so glad we stated. We shared three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts and all were exceptional. Service was excellent also. We will definitely be back.

We had a table of 8 from out of town. Amy was our server. Our meal was fantastic. The service was thoughtful and attentive. The food was delicious. The portions were we sized for tapas and we enjoyed a variety of food. They were able to accommodate a variety of food allergies. I would highly recommend. The location and atmosphere was lovely. I can't say enough good things.

Probably one of the best Spanish meals I've ever had. The bone marrow and mussel tapas to start and finished with the black rice paella. Highly recommend. Great service and friendly staff.

Such a beautiful atmosphere and really delicious food (my favorites were the artichokes, the flan, and the “she said yes” cocktail and my mom’s were the kale salad and the sangria). Our waitress Olga went above and beyond to make the night feel special!

We had the kale salad and Padron peppers for Tapas and the mushroom and artichoke paella for main which were all fabulous. For dessert we had the most amazing cheesecake--creamy with blackberry hibiscus compote, sooooo good! Every table around us had beautiful food and drinks and the atmosphere was cozy. The staff was very warm and friendly. By far the best meal we had during our week in Florida.Vegetarian options: Several delicious vegetarian tapas and paella

This restaurant is simply amazing in every way, excellent Spanish food, warm and friendly service, and beautiful ambiance. The tapas are incredible across the board; the octopus and the mussels are absolutely delicious, and the bone marrow is a must try. This place is a sold 5 star all around. Highly recommend.
Outstanding food. We went with the tasting menu and everything was delicious. We ate outside—great, lush setting. And wonderful service by Ana and Clara; our host from Morocco made the evening.
