Extremely disappointing meal. Not sure if there’s been a slip in quality recently, but definitely not what was expected. Each taco is $6 and I came ready to spend that for the fresh, handmade tortillas. We were served tortillas that are clearly machine-made - which would be fine given the masa is fresh, but they were not cooked long enough to puff and were ICE COLD, falling apart. Beyond the main disappointment which were the tortillas, I was served OLD, shriveled grilled corn. We paid $70 for 6 tacos and grilled corn, would not recommend. If you want to try, I’d recommend trying one taco first to save yourself some money and room for a better meal.

Located in the back of a construction zone, Taquiza is a great little spot to find some unique taco combinations. Their puffy blue mask chips are thick, fluffy, crunch and filling all at the same time. Quacamole is on point, fish taco were yummy and the margarita was delicious too. Service this day was poor. We were waiting to place an order at the counter for at least 10min. So instead we ordered online. Food took so so long to come out and we got served the food at the same time we were served the drinks. In general the quality of the food out ways the lack of service and we will be back. This was our four time to grab the blue chips and those are worth the wait!

Bland, store bought yellow tortillas
They didn’t serve their blue corn tortillas and didn’t give any warning they were out or stopped serving them. Their whole motto is “keep grinding” as in grinding blue corn for fresh masa. How can you just stop serving them and not say anything? The tortillas are one of the main reason to come here and pay $6 for a single taco. They gave us some mediocre store bought yellow ones.
We came to their South Beach location first in 2015 and then in 2017 and have told friends to come over the years.
Their chips were still great, though.

i was looking for mexican food, not good but not to bad, and it's expensive 4 people $108 (15% tip automatic) There is no variety of food.

The sauce is not really the Mexican flavor or consistency. Jamaican aguad does not have sugar.
Portions were phenomenal! Meat was juicy. Definitely get a loud bang for your buck. Sauce was unique and delicious. Music was outstanding however. A gluten free heaven without compromises. I would say, if you’re hungry stop on by.

We arrived 5 minutes before closing and they welcomed us. They took our order quickly and the food was ready promptly. After we finished, the staff let us know we could stay and chat longer if we liked. Very good food and service. Would go again!
