Have been going to this place in Ida various locations for more than a decade. Amazing tacos, world best chips. Quality food with a great price for Miami. We love it 💕

I don’t know why this place is recommended by the Michelin guide, this was my worst Mexican/tacos experience . Service was okey they were friendly but not too attentive .i work on the business so I understand how good service is, they might were having a bad day but the food was horrible , super cold to start , dry meat , not flavour. We didn’t say snitching about food because we didn’t want to wait for time and send back 14 tacos back. But definitely not worth the 5 or 6 dollars each taco . There is better taco places in Miami for the half price of this place . Overall I give 2 stars but for food quality 1 star. On top of this over price

Michelin Guide 2025 so had to come and try. Their elote and quaesadillas are very tasty. They are known for their Totopos but the other items on the menu also delicer very well. Highly recommended!

Food is delivered quickly which is good.

However, the staff make you pay the bill without seeing what’s on the bill. I asked where the bill is and they said you’ll get a copy after the payment. This is extremely weird - I have never seen that before and I’m from London and travelled to many places in the US. Everything else about the restaurant is great and I initially rated this 5/5 experience but this last bit really threw me off.

The tacos are bold, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. Everything tastes super fresh, and the seasoning is spot-on without being heavy.
The vibe is casual but elevated, exactly what you’d expect from a Michelin-recognized taco spot in Miami Beach — nothing pretentious, just great food made with real ingredients.

Really disappointed with the menu change. It used to be so good. I came for the mahi taco which is now cobia cooked in BEEF tallow. Thankfully I noticed the fine print before it arrived. The totopos are also now cooked in beef and they got rid of the queso(?!). Even though it wasn’t busy my elote took a while to come out and when it did it was cold and not as flavorful as it used to be. Now it just tastes of chipotle mayonnaise and mediocre cheese. The shrimp in the taco were dry and salty. Such a bummer. I hate when things change for the worse. I was glad to see the QR codes were gone and they had actual menus. But when will we stop being given heavily iced water in single use plastic?

Unfortunately our favorite taco spot has changed for the worse. We have tried the spot twice since the “change” and are very sad that our favorite menu items have all been removed or drastically altered. The tacos are smaller, the meats are cooked with new recipes that aren’t as flavorful or unique, the salsa for the totopos isn’t as fresh and they removed the lengua taco. the worse part is that the portions are tiny for a 5 dollar taco.

totopos and guacamole are still good. hopefully that doesn’t change.

The best tacos in North Beach are now inedible. Whatever you did to this place, it wasn’t for the better. The lady server is really nice, tho.

This used to be one of my favorite taco spots. Boy, has it changed. I am not sure if it’s new ownership or what, but the food quality has certainly gone down. It’s run of the mill tacos now. And the fact that they charge 18% automatic gratuity for the slowest, often rudest service is utter insanity. Last, while they’ve upgraded the interior, the exterior is still badly in need of help. Some better chairs, tables and lighting would go a long, long way. I am sure the shady hotel and weed smoke from next door doesn’t help, but still. Next time, unfortunately, I’ll be going to Burgers and Shakes
also a Miami Beach staple, but consistently delicious and well priced.

1 star. If the restaurant changes back i will give 5 stars. New management destroyed this place.

Food is dry and less seasoned. Brisket and flank steak were unimpressive. Totopos were too oily. Now feels overpriced. Atmosphere is less inviting. Vibes are off. We were so sad when we got here but were hopeful, and now even sadder leaving.

Ive been coming to taquiza for a few years, one of my favorite local spots. Something change on this last visit, food wise. Flavors have left the kitchen and the hard shell taco wasnt a pleasant surprise. All presentations change, hopefully is a transition as they show a new face and we get to taste a proper beach taco in an iconic area conventiently located near the water. Once construction is done taquiza should be up to the new layout expectations. Service was great.
