The shop is inside the gym on the 2nd floor - took us a few minutes to find it. Quality is great but a bit pricey IMHO.

It's a good Equinox. It's not fancy like some of the ones I've been to San Francisco and New York, but I liked it!

I used to loove this place. Unfortunately since the new management (Peter), they became very unprofessional and crook. They offered me to join again for Black Friday and try with the Covid situation with a possibility to cancel and be refunded if I do not like it. I could not work out with a mask on so asked to cancel and be refunded. I have not heard back from them so I kept calling, emailing. They barely answered and when they did the mentioned it was coming. It has now been more than 2 months and still did not get refunded or get any update. The worst is that thy keep emailing me advertisement to join! But when I email back asking my reimbursement of course, no more answer!

Would not recommend inquiring about this gym. I submitted an online inquiry to hear about membership and visit the gym. I called ahead to ask if I would be able to try the gym before signing up, which I believe is pretty common to want to try something before committing long term. I was informed by Andy Trujillo in their membership department that due to COVID regulations I would not be able to try out the gym unless I signed up for a membership first. I totally understand the times were in right now make things tricky so I told them over the phone that was fine but I wouldn't want to sign up without trying. I found another gym that allowed me to try their facilities first and I'm happy there. Andy has continued to text my personal number incessantly and has emailed me several times. I understand he wants the sale but this is overkill and his response to me telling him to stop contacting me was unprofessional and curt. Will not ever sign up for an Equinox location in any city knowing this behavior from their membership team is acceptable. I've had great experiences at several other Equinox locations but Andy at the South Beach location has ruined the brand for me.

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF, you will be HARASSED by the general manager who makes threats when you lower your mask to drink water. The front desk girls will follow you as you workout with eagle eyes. They take very little precautions on cleaning the equipment. I seen 1 janitor on his phone most the time. Such a beautiful city, but this place doesn't carry the true equinox experience due to bad management. Check there other NUMEROUS 1 star reviews from honest clients.

Before even starting here I got a sour taste in my mouth. I walk in on nov 3 at 8:10am to be greeted by a lady named cia. I said I'd like to get a day pass to try the gym out and she snapped at my we don't do day passes!! I said why? She replied because of covid, which is totally understandable but the tone she used was so rude and nasty a front desk person is supposed to be welcoming that's the first person you see for a establishment. While trying to ask additional questions in regards to getting information about just joining that day because I wanted to work out she just kept repeating her self speaking to other guest while I'm mid sentence so eventually I just said can I leave my information for someone to call me. Honestly a good gym would allow me to work out especially if I was going to get a yearlong member ship as long as the capacity was to code for covid and I had a mask I also had zero temperature. Equinox you will NOT be getting my $$ I'll take my business somewhere else. Management needs to train or speak to cia on how to speak to potential guest. Shame on them ruined my morning.

Made a complaint at this location ended up receiving a gift card. Came to use, claimed gift card could only be used on spa stuff. Though the initial reason for the gift card had absolutely nothing to do with the spa. Think this is just retaliation. Gave 2 stars because the British dude had an accent so it was entertaining to hear.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. STAFF EXTREMELY RUDE--after getting yelled at by an employee for taking a call while stretching, and voicing concern they told me the only way to cancel my membership was if I relocated OR was unable to work out. I did not realize it was against the rules to answer my phone, and apologized, but still got screamed at. I am not paying over $200 a month to get verbally assaulted by managers that had a bad day. (But it's not against rules for staff to text and take calls from the locker room ??)

This is a great gym to get a good workout in and go. You won't find a cleaner facility PERIOD. Especially since COVID -19. Every moment they have staff running around cleaning every square inch of the place, even fogging it down with cleaner. It's incredible. The gym is never ever packed. It's nearly like a private workout facility. MY BIGGEST complaint and I understand the gym has been here a long time and a decade ago it was necessary. But Today the 10 huge screens showing 24/7 negative news is not only demotivating but also uninspiring. Directly contradicting what EQUINOX is trying to sell. We have screens at every machine and screens on our phones and ipads. Do we really need to be accosted to the constant barrage of a Virus killing thousands and Riot news doing cardio? This is supposed to be a place to reset, recharge, get fit and get away from negativity going on. I think they are 5 years overdue to remove them as Their newer locations do not have this. I'm sure many members will agree. They can watch the news on their phones. As this is only reason I don't give it 5 stars. So If you are worried your local gym isn't taking their cleaning seriously or its too crowded, Join here! But, Equinox mgt seriously, get rid of the screens or change the content to something motivating - It will make working out here so much better!

Up-beat fitness center, gym and spa! Excellent equipment, very friendly and helpful staff/ trainers and front desk. Plenty of room for all your routine requirements. Great variety of benches and machines, including cardio. The juice and smoothie bar is fresh and offers a great variety including plant based protein. The SPA!!! Oh yea! Jamie has a great Thai technique with pressure points which seemed light at times yet proved intense and on point. Frida!!! Oh my gosh, Frida is also a true healer. She combined several types of techniques and demonstrates as much as if not more power then male therapists. She was pleasantly responsive and suggested a combined facial with massage which I plan to utilize next time. Looking forward to returning

I have been a member of Equinox since 2009. I have used the Equinox clubs in New York City, in Coral Gables, in Aventura, in Brickel and last and least in South Beach. I have never been interested in the machines, their trainers or their spa facility. I only cared about taking the classes. It seems that years ago the clubs were all about the members but that has changed dramatically. Beyond the fact that accommodating the members with good classes after the requested suggestions and recommendations, I found that not only were the classes substandard, but the diversity of the choice of classes were being reduced and the quality of the instructors got worse and when I was told to make suggestions and recommendations, they were all ignored. The level and quality of classes diminished and managements desire to accommodate has become next to nothing to the point where I, the member, felt very insignificant and unimportant, ignored and penalized for offering suggestions to management. The teachers of the classes are not interested in feedback or constructive criticism and management supports their attitude and is not interested in resolving member issues. The old adage that "the customer is always right" does not exist at Equinox anymore. After all these years I am no longer a member of Equinox and I would not recommend Equinox to anybody ever again. In the past I have recommended Equinox to many friends and family members and they have joined. Beyond being the most expensive gym I have ever joined, (over $2,500 a year), it's the most unaccommodating and problematic because of their internal politics, as they are constantly firing their loyal, hard working employees. The moral in Equinox at South Beach has deteriorated tremendously as the club is very cliquish and other members and employees have left due to the drama. I am so happy I finally left. It became the most frustrating gym experience. I now have freedom to take any classes I want with the most experienced and personable teachers and I am finally enjoying my workouts. I wouldn't recommend this gym. If I could have rated ZERO stars, I would.
