I first walked in, and the smell of bleach had me. The place was so clean and the staff was so nice. Once the food came, I was stunned by the presentation, the portion size was great, and then blown away from how good the food was. Everything was so good that I came again today. So this review is based on a 2 day experience.

Was going to eat here till I saw the review and then on the menu outside door of automatic tip added even to parties of one.Tips are for the customer to decide based on service not FORCED on to customer cause you don't properly pay your staff.I normally tip 10 to 20 percent pending service.So yes you lost me as a customer AND the couple I pointed out the enforced tip to.

I was just visiting Miami Beach on vacations and always try to eat at local restaurants. And I'm really happy that I found this place.The food was delicious and big portions.We got the cuban sandwich and the vaca frita.The cafe con leche was really good too.Local spot and the service was great.

The service was terrible: the waitress was hatchet faced and rude from the beginning, they forgot the mustard on my Cuban sandwich and then charged gratuity on a single person check. When I asked where on the menu it was printed that gratuity would be charged they pointed to a font size 3 blurb hidden on the menu where a 15% gratuity would be charged for parties of 1 or more (so that means everyone.. I’m not sure how it could be less than one person). Don’t get me wrong: I normally tip 20% standard even if the service wasn’t great simply because I used to be a waiter and I know how it is. The hatchet face waitress didn’t give service worthy of a 5% tip and was rude and unhelpful the entire meal. The food was mediocre at best and coffee was gross. Don’t waste your money and time here.

Added gratuity to a take out food without first asking. When bill is actually presented it shows a total without a breakdown (but included this gratuity). Instead the total has a line for gratuity as though it was not already included. This is misleading and at worst fraudulent. All patrons should be aware of their practice. In short, patrons are required to pay a gratuity for a take out and may mistakenly pay additional gratuity on top of an already paid gratuity.

Nice and very clean family restaurant.The food was good. And they have wine, beer and liquor license but only if you are having a meal with the drink. It's a family place not a bar.Service was prompt and very courteous.Nice "mom and pop" place with reasonable prices in Miami Beach.
Remodel makes it friendlier to non locals. Great cafe con leche y tostadas breakfast. Service still a little iffy but thats typical of miami beach, Ive learned to accept it
