Everything about this is good not great. Chocolate cream croissant had very little filling—Quite sad. Prices are not displayed but this was $7.76

I’ve been coming to True Loaf Bakery for the past 10 years, and in my opinion they are still the best in the area. Top quality ingredients, delicious baked goods, and amazing service. My favorites are the sourdough bread, the petite baguette sandwiches with Spanish tortilla, they did not have them today :(, and the chocolate chip cookies.

True Loaf is the best bakery in Miami and lives up to the hype. The bread is their classic: the naturally leavened sourdough and baguettes are consistently excellent, and they’ll slice the loaf for you if you ask. If you’re doing pastries, the almond croissant or chocolate croissants are amazing: flaky and buttery.
Their sandwiches are also very good. I like a the simple BLT. The PB&J is also great, just a little overpriced for what it is. I recommend ordering ahead online since there can be a line and the best stuff usually sells out. The owner mentioned the ordering resets around 6pm, so order around then!

Listen to the bad reviews. Was hesitant to try this spot after reading all the mixed reviews, but decided to take a chance. I pre-ordered for pickup the next day, to make sure I’d get what I wanted. Unfortunately when pickup time came, they’d sold out of what I bought so my order was incomplete. They did not apologize or really have any sympathy for this poor customer experience.
It was challenging to get them to refund me, they said they would and told me I was good to go but I insisted that I would not leave before confirmation of the refund.
Overall, the bread is good but it’s not worth the bad experience of coming here. Would not recommend or return.

The best bread, baguettes and doughnuts around here! When we are in Miami, we walk over there every Sunday!

The staff was so rude today! I bought 2 sandwiches and 6 cookie. Cookies were burnt and they still served them. Then the staff always heats my sandwhich and today wouldn’t. Staying they don’t do that now even thought an employ behind her said yes we do. Not how I expected to have my day start.

Nice employees, but expensive and dated. $50 for a pie, that was not enjoyed is quite excessive. Mamman next door better value.

Nice bakery, works from 7 am to 5:30 pm.
But you’ll never get what you want anytime.
Mostly I get croissants and bread, but my previous 5 visits I didn’t get anything of these. At 8 am they won’t sell you croissants because they dodo it for preorders (tried twice). After 2 pm they are out of all the products, but still open till 5:30 (came 3 times with same result).
Very good products, but chance to get what you want belongs to zero.

I was in the Miami area to check out the art installation at Faena Beach for Miami Art Week. Whenever I’m in the area, I always check bookmarked spots I want to check out. Decided to hit up True Loaf which was close by.
True Loaf is located in Sunset Harbor next to Tequiztlan Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar. Also two spots down from Maman which is one of my fave bakeries.
I stopped into True Loaf to scope out their selections. The young lady at the front was nice, I didn’t get her name. This spot is more of a bakery with a huge kitchen area and limited space to order or sit. They had a few patio tables outside but no sitting area inside. Quick order and go kind of space.
They had a display of food options in the front window and ordering area. I also didn’t see a menu or labels for the pastries so it was hard to decide what I wanted. I was going by visuals of what they still had available.
I ended up getting a canelé. And let me tell you, they made a quite perfect canelé with the crispy exterior and custardy interior. Each canelé costs $5. I knew a nice bakery like this would make a good canelé. You can just tell.
I would come back to try some of the other items including the croissants, sandwiches, basque cheesecake and pastries! Cute spot. Happy I found this.

Everything I’ve purchased there is incredibly good, and the staff is super friendly.
Some people mention prices being high, but honestly, don’t blame the bakery, they have to cover the cost of doing business in Miami Beach. A small retail space here can easily cost $15,000–$20,000 per month in rent alone. Quality ingredients + great staff + Miami Beach commercial rent = higher prices.
And they’re still worth every penny.
I hope they stay in business for a long time.

I want to dock a star for value and consistency, such as the pan au chocolate sometimes being almost all pan and almost no chocolate. Also because the prices are at the higher end of tolerability, eg. $12 for one baguette and one croissant; or $20 for a challah and a cookie. This is actually the higher end even of what you would pay in NYC for an artisan bakery. It is the only bakery of note on South Beach at the moment and the lack of competition doesn’t help in this regard. However, I want to support them and the quality is generally good so I am giving the benefit of the doubt for now. It also helps that Panther Coffee is in the same building.

Not a good place to eat. The service was slow, the food didn’t taste fresh, and the staff didn’t seem very attentive. I really expected more based on the reviews, but unfortunately it was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back
A local institution. Consistently great. Order ahead, they sell out quickly especially on the weekend or around holidays. Don't sleep on the scones, amazing.
