Havana 1957 is an easy go to for dependable Cuban food at reasonable prices. I've been to several locations, and often bring guests who've not had Cuban food before. This location is a bit smaller than the other ones I've been to, however, with all the outdoor seating in a prime location in miami beach, it's a great environment. My colleague said his roast chicken was amazing, and I can never go wrong with the vaca frita. Sopa de pollo was bigger than expected...
I booked this restaurant based on reviews. I had not been to this previously and invited guests who were staying at the Betsy Hotel who were from Germany. I thought it would be nice to have them try authentic Cuban food. The restaurant met all my expectations. The food quality was fantastic and authentic. The mojito's were phenomenal! I thought is was a bit pricy for what it was but I guess that's just Miami! I would return and recommend this again.
I gave it 3 stars for the food because I was disappointed in how my dish the Lechon was prepared. I expected it to be a big chunk but instead it was shredded which was not the way I've had it in other restaurants.
