“I remember when Hammond Bakery was on 191st &NW 37th Ave. Everybody from school would go there to get the patties and the lines were long! I am talking about 77’s and early 80’s! Even tho the food is good, the quality of the patties and curry has changed , just not the same. The original Pattie maker in those days must have retired by now! Miss it! The patties were made from scratch! No Jamaican Restaurant anywhere can make the patties Hammond’s Bakery made in those days! The curry seasoning has even chang! Don’t even tastes same!“

“This is a great spot to grab traditional style. Cuban pastries, sandwiches, and a café on Leche. Add traditional Miami prices. It's quick, it's fast, and they're always busy because their pastries are pretty darn good. I highly recommend that if you're looking to buy up a party platter or just grab a quick coffee and a pastry“

“As soon as I landed in Miami I call to check if they were opened. The lady that answered was pleasant and welcoming. That alone was worth the drive.
