In 2024, I participated in the Key2MIA tour, which took place around Juneteenth. One of the stops on the tour was “Meat the Veggies,” where I had the chance to try their food for the first time. I was blown away by their impressive presentation, beautifully set-up tent, and food truck. Confession time:
I live in South Florida and have never really been a fan of oxtail (gasps in braised betrayal)…until I tried it through Meat the Veggies. They have completely changed my view!

I was able to purchase their pulled oxtail meat to make at home and it exceeded expectations. The flavor is amazing, and I even made soft tacos with it, which turned out great with a little chipotle ranch. My daughter, who’s also picky, surprisingly loved...

I’ve loved this place since they first opened. The oxtail sandwich and broccolini never disappoints! I’ve also had the veggie wrap and though I’m not vegan, I still really enjoyed it. Also, don’t forget to ask for the sauces :)
