Horrible, I had visited the place a few years ago and it was very delicious. We wanted to return because it is close to the Miami airport. We looked for it on the GPS and it said it was open so we went and to a surprise the place is abandoned, all the doors open, no maintenance open. total with rubble perhaps visited by homeless street people or criminals, it lends itself to that, what a shame.

The tables and floors are dirty. The waitress was rude and grumbled anytime we asked for any thing. The Brisket hash is 99% undercooked potatoes and 1% meat. Not worth $16.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside. Sat on deck. Our server was very attentive giving suggestions from the menu. Food was excellent. The alligator bites in the salad was excellent. Would highly recommend this place.

I searched Google Maps for “home cooking near me” and found this place. I ordered the classic chicken breast with fried okra and sweet potato casserole. The waiter was friendly and waited on me as soon as I sat down. The food came out about 10-minutes after I ordered. Everything was delicious. My meal was less than $14, which I thought was reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant.Kid-friendliness: I saw a family with kids there.

The food was good but a little expensive for the amount you get. The waffles are good, but warning, they already sweet without syrup. I didn't care for the cap n crunch cereal French toast that much but my son liked it. Food came out pretty quick and our waiter was very nice and timely.

I used to go here all the time and it had been a while so I decided to visit with my family today. The meatloaf was extremely soft and had a weird taste, the chicken fried chicken tasted good but had some chewy parts, the jambalaya was ok, the fatty fries were great. They didn’t have soda, fried green tomatoes, or fried bread pudding. I understand any restaurant can have a bad day and I hope they return to their glory days. We were the only ones in the restaurant at first, and when we left at 6 pm there was only one other party in the restaurant. I don’t think we’ll be going back again but wish them luck, I hope they are able to turn it around.

5 if it was possible. The waitress screamed at us. Here's the storyParty of six. We arrived when more than 50% of the tables were empty. It took them 10 minutes to seat us. Then the a waiter comes in takes our drink order( that took 10 minutes. We asked for water and coffee. The waiter brings us two waters and disappears. The rest of the glasses are sitting at the bar. After about 5 minutes he re-appears, we inquire about our coffee and water, he point and says they sitting at the bar. Ok so now we are supposed to go get them. As this is happening we see the water being served to another table. We ask about coffee and we are told it's brewing. Ok eventually we get water in faded glasses and the coffee arrives in another 7-8 minutes. Fun just keeps happening. Now they take our orders and another waiting game starts. This time it takes almost an hour with no one coming to check on our coffee and water. And it still keeps rolling. 2 people out of six got their food, with wrong sides. Another 7-8 minutes go by and a couple more plates arrive. Then another one and finally the last person gets the food 20 minutes with again wrong sides after the first plate. We ask for a coffee refill that never arrives. Now the food, they have destroyed the food quality at this establishment. The last order that arrived was pretty much burnt on one the underside. We asked for the manager, could not finish a sentence and disappeared without completing the conversation. A random waitress pops in and starts screaming at us when we complained about the slow service and food quality. The manager here is not good enough to run a garbage truck let alone a restaurant. What an epic disaster! They destroyed an awesome restaurant. What a shame.A waste of $150 dollars. Should have walked out without paying.

Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent and the Chicken Fried Chicken was worthy of the hype. Locally owned and has a great vibe. Huge "Tiki" porch with fans and shade for outdoor dining. There is also a small cozy inside dining room which has a great southern cafe feel.

I don’t know what’s happening with this place but it has really gone down hill. Horrible food, I ordered Uber eats, live 5 min from there and had to wait almost an hour to get my green beans with a hair in it and the food tasted and looked horrible. Very sad this used to be a nice place.

This place really is a hidden gem. Everything that I had was full of flavor which was the shrimp and grits with the fried biscuits and for dessert, I topped it off with the bread pudding.

We opted to sit outdoors, and despite the warm weather, it was remarkably refreshing. The food was delectable, and the ambiance was top-notch. The only minor issue I had was locating the entrance, but other than that, everything was perfect. Highly recommend!
