Very pleasant atmosphere, the food exceeded our expectations, delicious lomo saltado, we tried a dish called fettuccine fruti di mare, very delicious, with a dew cream that is not spicy and a very delicious green noodle... honestly we have come from Miami Dade and it was worth it 1000. We liked the attention and we really waited less time than expected and the best thing was that they brought everyone's dishes at the same time, one of the best Peruvian restaurants that we have visited so far, highly recommended.

Merkado 31 is an amazing Peruvian restaurant addition to the Aventura area! Mercado 31 used to be a different Peruvian restaurant in the Olive Garden/Anthony's shopping center on Biscayne in Aventura and we noticed the name change on the sign at the restaurant a month or so ago. We dined at Mercado 31's location in Miami Beach's North Beach area and went there a few times and always loved it- but we moved from the area and haven't been back. Now we're happy to have a Merkado location closer to us! We went on a weekend evening and were greeted by a restaurant employee and were promptly seated inside. Restaurant host Paola came by our table and offered to assist us and we ordered a bottle of Chardonnay ($30), and they have a variety of other beers, wines, and wine based cocktails, along with non-alcoholic drinks to select from as well. They also bring a little bowl of corn pieces as a snack as well. For an appetizer, we ordered the Papa Huancaina ($9.95), and had a few big slices of potatoes and a delicious sauce! It was plenty big for the two of us to share. For entrees, I ordered the Ceviche a la brasa ($18.95), and had really nice and flavorful cooked fish in an amazing broth and additional mix-ins. It was truly amazing, and very fresh and flavorful. My husband got the Chaufa de carne ($19.95) and he said it was also really good as well. All food was amazing, along with the service. We look forward to returning and mixing the restaurant into our normal mix of restaurants to visit!
Merkado 31 is a hidden gem in Aventura. Their rotisserie chicken/ pollo ala brasa is the best chicken you will ever try you have to have it with fries and salad. Tiradito fish is an amazing appetizer and huancaina pasta is amazing sexond entre. Picarones dessert is delicious as well. Our favorite cocktail is the apple saketini ? the restaurant is amazing you will never go wrong with peruvian authentic dishes.
