I go here every time i come to florida no matter how far out i am and it's worth it every time i just went in July ordered plantains and curried goat and when i tell you that food felt like home mind you I'm Nigerian so it was just something about the food that was so filling and nostalgic. And it's a lot of food so no need to go overboard!

Food was delicious and seasoning on point. We had the J*** Chicken with rice and peas and salad. We also had the j*** chicken rotti and everything was delicious. We would definitely try this place again when we're down in the Miami area.

This place is consistently great. The owners are very kind and the stewed chicken lunch is amazing.

The neighborhood my office is in in Miami Shores is seriously lacking in good mom and pop places but B & M is my light in the darkness. It's a small grocery store with tons of Caribbean centric ingredients, I love going through the aisles and checking out the unique spices. I order my food right at the front counter and always get the curry goat with rice and peas. I'm obsessed with it, it is always so good. When I'm feeling extra gluttonous I also get the vegetable roti which has a lovely kick to it and comes with a spicy sweet sauce if you like your food really hot. I've also picked up some homemade rum cake before and it was delicious, me and my coworkers devoured it. Places like this are so special! Please support them!

I should've trusted my gut. The oxtail is extremely small. There was barley any oxtail gravy so it was dry. Some oxtail pieces were tough and some were tender. The beef patty was a complete disappointment and disgrace to my Jamaican ancestors. It literally look like somebody stepped on the beef pattie. And of course in .. they gave me more rice than anything else. The cabbage was good, but you can't mess that up. If anyone knows of a legit well portioned Jamaican restaurant in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area please send me a DM directly.

This joint is operated inside a family owned grocery store. The food is delicious and the owners are sweet and humble people. This place really hits home with moms cooking. I ordered the beef patty, oxtail, goat soup and curried chicken roti. The food here is prepared fresh and served hot even for to-go orders. There is a small section to dine in if you want to. But it is mostly takeout. The rice and peas and cabbage that accompanied the oxtail was made well and the flavors of the oxtail was phenomenal. My friend really enjoyed the large goat soup and finished it within seconds. My favorite part is the home made roti made fresh to order. It had a nice soft texture that makes you crave more after each bite. And the beef patty was simple with the hot sauce that they provide. The hot sauce has a nice spicyness that lingers for a while which is very pleasing for anyone that enjoys spice. Overall, I highly recommend this place! Anthony Bourdain left a mark here once upon a time, while the owners will one day leave a legacy. If your looking for traditional cooking... look no further. Try everything if you must! You won't be disappointed.

Some of the best food we had on our vacation! I had the curry goat and my boyfriend had j*** chicken roti. Everything was delicious. Also purchased a hibiscus juice to drink that was perfectly refreshing and offset the spice in the curry perfectly. 100% recommend this place!

If I could give it Zero stars, I would certainly do it. Roti is twice smaller than from LC roti shop, Naz and Joyce for the same price of $14. It's wrapped like a burrito and mediocre taste. Total rip off. Yes, other roti shops are further, but I would rather drive further than ever eat anything from this place.

This is a quaint spot for a quick bite to eat a nice hot roti. The food was fresh with I loved. They also have nice homemade island drinks . I love the fact you can can purchase seasonings and food from the carribean. If you haven't tried gem water it is an alkaline water from the springs of Jamaica. I have been looking for it all over and they had it. This made my day I bought some for home and some other good seasonings. Try them out let me know what you think.

I was very disappointed by the j*** chicken I purchased last week. The chicken had an odd odor and the meat seemed either old or over cooked. The j*** seasoning was bland and had NO spice to it The pepper sauce had too much vinegar in it causing INSTANT heartburn. The chicken roti was horrible!!! The chicken curry had NO TASTE and the roti skin it was rolled in was pure rubber. I spent over $30 and it all went in the trash..... The love of cooking Caribbean food was NOT A PRIORITY this day.

5 stars for the kindness of the family that owns the shop. as a tourist, it was a little heavy, but i'm sure if this was in my hometown it would be the perfect comfort food stop.

This is an official Miami hidden gem. The neighborhood surrounding has been constantly changing but the food here has remained delicious. I got the goat curry dinner and the oxtail dinner both which were tasty. Be careful when you're eating as small bones could become a problem when you're hurrying to eat this awesome food, I have my share of moments biting into a bone or two, not the most pleasant experience. I also wish they would provide some house made hot sauce to go on the rice and peas as I enjoy a bit of a kick.

Hidden Caribbean gem! The food is absolutely delicious, no wonder Anthony Bourdain loved this place. Service was great also, the owner came twice to check if everything was ok. Everyday there is a different special on their menu and food comes out fast and fresh. The restaurant is inside the market and park on the side. Enjoy!

Being from the Caribbean I'm always looking for food from back home. This is a little market where you can find your Caribbean drinks, spices, and food. Their goat rhoti is delicious! I recommend you give them a call before to make sure they have rhotis left as they sometimes run out since they're made fresh.
