I recently attended a 50th birthday party at Bar Nancy on 8th Street, and while the event itself was fantastic, the experience with the owner, Ben, was disappointing. My friend rented the place for a private event, and everything from the live band to the ambiance was incredible. It was truly a great venue for a celebration. However, when it came to customer service, Ben was not up to par. He treated me like trash but he’s the trash! So sad to say but it is so true! I was mortified by his actions to say the least. I did not feel welcome after he did what he did to me.
I asked for cognac, and initially, I was told there was none available. After asking for a mixed drink with Hennessy VS, suddenly, cognac was miraculously available. I ordered a double shot neat and it was nice and smooth as usual. I saw him pour the shot and it was just a little bit left so I basically finished the bottle. I ordered another double and this time he said he had to get another bottle in the back… The second drink wasn’t what I asked for. It was not Hennessy at all. I know my drink and whatever he put in that cup was not it. When I brought it to Ben’s attention, he was short with me and didn’t say a word. I had to ask another bartender to fix another drink, and when Ben came over, he snatched it from me without any acknowledgment or apology. He did remove it from the tab, but his rude behavior was very off-putting and quite rude. A friend of mine order another shot for me hoping it was a mistake. I tasted it again and it was not the correct drink. To be sure that I wasn’t crazy I asked my friends to smell and taste the drink and they concurred it was not what I asked for. One of my friends stated it was sweeter and tasted more like whiskey. He also confronted the owner about it and Ben responded he has no control over what is done in the back. He was refunded for the drink as well. I’m sorry but as the owner of the establishment you need to make it your business to know what is going on or at least try and find out!!! If he didn’t do it someone there did it. I most certainly didn’t do it! I was there to have a good time and was robbed!
While the celebration itself was amazing, customer service should be a priority in any business. It’s unfortunate that the owner’s attitude soured what could have been a perfect night. Hopefully, he takes this feedback to heart for future events.
Parking: There is barely any street parking. I recommend getting dropped off to this location.

Great bar in Little Havana with a nautical vibe and great drinks. Live music moat of the week. The place has a patio and clean bathrooms. Parking can be a challenge but so is everything in Calle 8.
Parking: Don’t park on the shopping center next door as you could get towed.

We were there for the karaoke evening. Drinks were very expensive, the music was way too loud and poorly tuned. We left the bar after an hour.

Very nice bar discovered for a goth evening that they organized. Pleasant and welcoming evening. There is no air conditioning or in any case not enough for a dancing evening. There is also an outdoor space where you can sit and smoke...

Bar Nancy service and bartender Sucks! I when last night ro get a drink and the bartenders where talking to the costumers instead of serving drinks, is a shame how much money the owner lost last night.

This place has a following of loyal crowd. I am not one of them. So when I got there and there was no food, high price drinks for the neighborhood, and the bands were sub-par, I was not impressed. But the loyal fans will always be there.

I paid $18 across the street to park and then ended up being a closed bar ticketed event. $30 cover. So I left. The hassle of parking made me not apt to return. I came off of a recommendation for country music on some trip advisor list. Not so much tonight.
