Caña Restaurant and Lounge

We were greeted by the host, taken to a booth in the bar area (when there were many other tables available) and then left there for 20 minutes without even a nod. It was travel day for us and we were exhausted. We went to leave and the server rushed up to tell us she was headed over. I told her if that were true, when she passed by us, she could have make eye contact, said that she would be right with us, etc. She did not. We left and just went to bed hungry. Also, this very much gives the “low tier travel hotel” vibe. Not a restaurant I can see one venturing to if not staying in the hotel. I did report to front desk.

Atmosphere. There isn't any. Its on the 2nd floor of a hotel, and it feels like a hotel bar.
Service was great. They checked on us frequently, refilled our water and fixed the temp of our meal when it came incorrectly.
Food. The pork shank, recommended by our server, was right on the money. The steak, was tasty but expensive for what it was. A thin piece of ribeye. The mushroom sauce that accompanied the steak was very good (requested to be placed on the side - if only it didn't have a layor of oil). Overall, it was a good meal better than okay but not worth the 4 stars. We won't be rushing to go there again anytime soon. On a side note, outdoor seating is a balcony area.

This is a hotel restaurant. They were understaffed. Service was slow. Ambiance was poor. They only had outdoor seating for tables for 2. The food was good.

Came for breakfast! The oatmeal was great and came with creme brûlée bananas on top. Eggs and bacon were both cooked perfectly. Staff was exceptional.

I am not a real fan of beans, any type. But the black beans with Skirt steak, are converting me. Amazing meal. Service was awesome! Yuca fries are a must too.

I recently had the chance to visit Caña Restaurant & Lounge at the Hyatt Centric Brickell Miami on two different occasions, and both were wonderful experiences. I went for brunch with a friend and absolutely loved the vibrant atmosphere, delicious Latin-inspired dishes, and the creative cocktails. Another time, I came back for dinner with my whole family, and we were just as impressed—the food was flavorful, the service was attentive, and the setting felt both elegant and welcoming. It’s definitely a spot I’d recommend for any occasion.

I have visited this Cuban restaurant a few times and their food is amazing . The flavors are unique as they mix real Cuban flavors with sophisticated seasoning / components that makes their dishes delicious . Service is outstanding . Location is great and peaceful for the most part as it is situated inside the Hyatt hotel , second floor . Lovely murals in some of the walls . Nicely , simple decorations make the restaurant very enjoyable .

We left the Miami Children's Museum and Google Maps recommended this restaurant to us so we decided to give it a try. Located inside the Hyatt, street parking was the way to go and we found a spot almost right away.

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and it has beautiful gaping windows. The decor is elegant and airy. We got there right as brunch was ending, so my 5 year old got pancakes and my mom got the Bistec a Caballo. The empanadas were fluffy and flaky, and they were accompanied by the best sauce. The chuleton de Res Con Mojo negro was terrible. The sauce and meat was so salty and heavy and the rice was so simple and bland. The Bistec a caballo is a much better deal size, price, and flavor wise. The coffee was good, but not great, not for Miami.

We came for drinks and some appetizers. Homemade chicharrones were delicious, along with the burrata topped with guava. Service was excellent and the manager Jared was great. Jared made his rounds and stopped with every table to make sure we all had a great experience. We will be back!

Caña Restaurant and Lounge at Hyatt Centric Miami is a great spot if you’re in the city and unsure where to go. The food is excellent, the ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the bar seating offers a relaxed vibe with an awesome atmosphere. And since it’s right inside the hotel, the convenience makes it an easy choice when you’re staying there. Definitely worth a visit!

My overall experience was amazing. If you love great service, this is the place. Our waitress was very familiar with the menu and made wonderful recommendations. The appetizers were scrumptious and the entrees following did not disappoint. I highly recommend this restaurant!

So glad we ate at this restaurant. Daniel was a perfect host and the food was amazing. The balcony overlooking the bay is a treat pre-supper cocktails and then moving in for food was a good fit. We loved everything we ordered and the service was excellent too. Highly recommend. We were staying in the hotel but had looked at places to eat Cuban and this one got great reviews and it was a good choice for us after a long day of flying/negotiating airports. Nice to just go downstairs sand have a fantastic meal, right in our hotel.

Our evening started with a very warm welcome from Daniel and Yasmin. Visiting from New Hampshire and since the weather in Miami this evening was a delightful change, we opted to dine outside. Food, service and drinks were excellent and costs were quite reasonable. Try the Cod Fritters and Empanadas. After the appetizers, we shared the Piernita de Cerdo Assada, rice and beans. Many thanks to Daniel and Yasmin for a memorable dining experience.

I ate here when I arrived in Miami and I am now eating brunch again as I leave.
It is not to be missed!
