First time visiting fort lauderdale. We ordered from Cecibon to go. We typically get Haitian food in NY and this was absolutely comparable and delicious! Would definitely recommend!
Had some problems with my order but they were very nice about it and accommodated.We ordered plantain, fish (tilapia), chicken and griot. To start of, the rice was good, the viand' sauce was very tasty, though very liquid. The plantain was not crunchy because they were cut very thick, that was kind of a dissapointment. The pickliz was decent, a little blend but no regrets ! The griot was nice ! BUT fish and the chicken were a big no no ! Why are they battered and fried ?...
I was really looking forward to having Cecibon again after being away from Florida for over 10 years. The pikliz, fried chicken, the diri djondjon, and grito were so flavorful, I could taste my childhood. The service was average and slow, but understandable, there was one person at the counter Saturday afternoon and he was working hard taking and pushing orders non-stop.
