Horrible Experience – Blatant Discrimination and Zero Service
Today June 26th, 2026 I would give this place zero stars if I could. The experience my partner and I had at El Carajo was absolutely disgraceful. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were not welcome.
After being seated, we were completely abandoned. We sat at our table for over 12 minutes without a single employee acknowledging our presence. The waitress actively ignored us, completely bypassing our table to serve other parties who arrived after us. She never came over to greet us, never offered us water, and never took our order.
It became painfully obvious that this absolute lack of service was not an oversight, but deliberate discrimination because we are a gay couple. To be treated like we were invisible and inherently unwelcome in a public establishment is deeply hurtful and completely unacceptable.
The environment felt hostile, and the blatant prejudice we experienced ruined our evening. We ultimately had to leave without even ordering. Do not support this establishment if you value equality, respect, and basic human decency. They do not deserve your business.

You can spend hours in this place. It is inviting cozy. Perfect temperature. Wine selection is impressive. The food is one of the best Spanish cuisine in town. I have eaten in many places and this is at the top of my list. Congrats.

The food is no frills in the best way possible with classic Spanish tapas and a decent wine selection from around the world. This is the type of place where the couple next to you gives your date a glass of their sangria because they overheard you asking how it was. Paella, pulpo & a mean tortilla española - all was great!!
I came to this place thinking I was going to find Spanish things like wines, cheeses, ham, and tapas, and the thing I see the least is exactly that.
Everything feels very Miami-like, literally nothing to do with Spain, and with super overpriced prices — very typical Miami.

I’ve always heard good things about, so naturally I visited twice ! I had a nice Napa wine my favorite and some croquetas and cheese board however it is unfortunate that the two times I visited I felt rushed . If the restaurant is said on Google Maps to close at a certain time why do they rush you two hours before closing ? The customer service needs to be adjusted . I don’t plan to visit again with all the wine bars I don’t like being rushed on a night out .
