El Chalan Restaurant Reviews
I invited a friend to eat Peruvian food that usually at this restaurant is very good, yesterday it was a very disappointed experience.
We had to wait more than 20 minutes for the appetizer, then another 25 minutes for the dishes. I had the Lomo Saltado before and was delicious, this time had not flavor and the meat was hard, the fish in the Jalea dish had not flavor and only 2 small pieces of fried Yuca.

El Chalan Restaurant is a well-known Peruvian gem located in a tropical park area, celebrated for its delicious and generously portioned food. Highly recommended dishes include the outstanding ceviche, flavorful aji de gallina, and el chupe de camaron. The restaurant is praised for its hot and fresh meals, with the chaufa mixto Al Chalan and mixed ceviche highlighted for their bold flavors and perfect seasoning. The service is excellent, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Although the restaurant is very small and does not serve cocktails, it offers beers and sangrias. El Chalan has been a favorite for many, with consistent management and staff that create a familiar atmosphere. The restaurant is popular and busy, located in a shopping plaza, which can make parking a bit of a challenge. Though prices have increased recently, many find the unique and delicious Peruvian cuisine to be worth the cost, especially for seafood lovers.
