Food is excellent. Truly excellent. Some BBQ faves (pulled pork, ribs, brisket, mac-n-cheese, slaw), as well as some unusual items (a cilantro sauce, watermelon salad, smoked sausages with jalapenos and Oaxaca cheese). There is a full bar and it is not cheap, but has a great liquor and beer selection. The staff was generally very friendly. Chicken and pulled pork were my favorite meats. The slaw and the watermelon salads were really good.

Absolutely phenomenal BBQ! The brisket is tender and smoky with that perfect bark, the wings are juicy and flavorful, and the elote (street corn) with cotija and chili is a must-order. Even the cornbread is buttery and moist.
The vibe is relaxed and rustic — communal tables, wood smoke in the air, great service, and cold beer. A true gem for barbecue lovers in Miami.

I love Hometown BBQ but the only thing they cannot seem to get right are ribs. I keep giving the ribs a chance by ordering them every other time I go and I am always disappointed. Though the flavor of the sauce is good, the meat is always tough and dry. Extremely disappointing. Other places have consistently soft, come off the bone style meat. You will NOT find that here. Therefore, I recommend other items done great such as the pulled pork. I recommend this place regardless, I just recommend against any and all ribs unless they explicitly announce a new formula or something.
Definitely give this spot a shot.
