Oh Portugal! So lovely, service food and ambiance was perfect. I will recommend to any of my friends headed there and dream of my return.

Visited on a quiet Sunday. At first thought maybe we had made a mistake, but we stayed. Glad we did. Food was good and service was friendly but maybe could use a little more practice. I would def go again because I love Portuguese food and there isn't much of it where I live now. Between the table we had steaks, shrimp and clams. Everything was good. But I wish it was easier to get more bread to soak up all the sauce! Nice place looked like a vacation kind of place.

Jardim de Portugal had long been saved as a bookmark on yelp, we are talking for years. Sadly, it was one of many that I did not get to while living in Miami. When I went back this May on vacation, Jardim de Portugal was one of the places I decided we needed to go. I love Portuguese food, and I had heard great things about Jardim de Portugal. I made reservations before going on my trip for one of the nights there. Although, the night I picked, did not seem to need it. It should be noted you can make reservations by emailing the restaurant. The restaurant is well lit. The chairs are comfortable. The ambience is nice. We came in and we were quickly sat. While we were eating there were only a few families/couples who came in. Still, I wanted to say our waitress did a phenomenal job with her duties. She was very attentive and helpful, including giving us some recommendations. My mom loves soup, so her recommendation to try the Caldo Verde for instance was on point. For those unfamiliar with what Caldo Verde is, it is a soup made with pureed potatoes with collard green, sausage & olive oil. We also got as starters Camarao Alho (Shrimp in garlic sauce) and Chourico Assado (Grilled Portugese Sausage). The first starters that came were the Camarao Alho, the shrimp was flavorful and absolutely delicious. The Chourico Assado then came next, and that was special let me tell you! While enjoying our meal, we ordered albarino wine. It is a delicate and delicious wine you only find coming from Portugal or from the Galician region of Spain. It is my favorite type of wine, and I was happy to have some. It is a beautiful dish. It comes in a plate that looks like a roast pig and it comes on fire! I dont mean that figuratively, I am meaning that literally. The plate comes on fire. There is something primal about seeing it come like that. The sausages were perfectly seasoned, the fire making it crisp and earthy. I wish I could have some right now as writing this, makes me remember just how good it was. My mouth is actually watering from the memory. My brother and mother liked their Camarao Alho so much he got another one for his main course. I decided to try something else on their menu and ordered the Bife A Portugesa. This is a Ny sirloin with prosciutto in garlic, wine sauce &potato chips. Word of warning, this plate is huge! You will not want to leave a bite, expect to gain weight. The steak was juicy and tender that wine sauce really elevated the steak... and who doesn't love prosciutto on anything... the dish was sublime. While ending our meal, we were treated to some Porto wine on the house! I did not think the evening could have gone any better but ending the meal with that was wonderful! My compliments to the house! This was one of the best dining experiences we had while on our vacation and let me tell you there were many great meals we savored during our trip. Jardim de Portugal is special, and strongly recommend anyone in Miami or coming to Miami should enjoy this superb restaurant!

The restaurant was only tending to three tables when we walked in, a Saturday around 7pm. I would say no reservations are needed. Consider it if you are a big party, maybe. The place is cozy and clean. It is not fancy yet you still get to a table with a nice tablecloth. Somehow that's always a plus for me. Friendly and welcoming service. She was not an expert on the menu but the service was decent and she was both patient and accommodating. We started with the polvo salteado or grilled octopus. 4/5 the portion is similar to that of other Portuguese restaurants. The octopus was well coked and flavorful. It had garlic but I personally prefer the sliced version and lots of it. The remaining oil was the perfect pairing for the slice of complimentary bread you are served at the beginning of the meal. If you already ate it at this point, ask for some more. It is worthy. Our second dish was the seafood stew rice. 4/5 We requested our clams and mussels to be replaced with different seafood and they were able to do so, unlike at some other Portuguese restaurants. That was greatly appreciated. We were unsure about dessert. Not if we were going to order it or not, instead which one was going to be the one. After some debate we opted for the Passion fruit mousse. 4/5 It was without a doubt a sweet, creamy and slightly tangy mousse. Yet, it was not as aerated as traditional mousse. It was half way between custard and mousse, with the fatty and dense feeling of mousse. My husband enjoyed it so much he would have ordered a second one if we had just stayed a bit longer. The mousse itself did not, to my palate, have a strong passion fruit flavor but the sauce on top did. I could have easily enjoyed my mousse with double the passion fruit sauce but I live for tangy anything. We will return. There are still a couple of dishes that caught my attention and I did not get to try. Solid 4 for Jardim!

Great overall Portuguese food experience and clean relaxing atmosphere. The best and most impressive dish of the night was the passion fruit mousse custard. Just delicious and more than a mousse it's well executed passion fruit custard with a passion fruit syrup on top that makes a hell of a great combination!! The seafood rice had good taste, consistency and compared to the other Portuguese big name restaurants in Miami the portion and price was aligned. I added the lobster portion and asked the server to please change the clams and mussels for something else like more calamari or fish and they were ok with it which in my experience is not too common. I liked that. What could had been better:They were a little stingy with the bread with only 2 pieces per couple. I asked for more and they brought another 2 pieces. Bread was good! I also was looking forward to try their cabrito asado but they only serve it on Fridays lunch specials from noon to 3:00pm. I will go back!

Love this place. Great Portuguese food, true flavors and original dishes. Varied selection of cod, octopus and sardine dishes, meats too. Great rice stews too. Closest I've gotten to Lisboa's mom and pop places outside of the country. Try the Alvarinho too!

Certainly the best, most authentic Portuguese restaurant in Coral Gables. From the crunchy hot bread to the dessert- a juicy flan with poured port wine! We had a variety of cod fishPortuguese style, cod fish fritters, caldo verde,Fresh salad. All the food was abundant, served hot and delicious. The dessert - flan with Port wine was exquisite. And, to close with a golden key, a mini dose of Ginginha and double espresso coffee. The service was prompt , very friendly and kind to my little granddaughter.I will surely recommend this place to anybody wanting good authentic Portuguese cuisine!Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter was treated with gentleness.

One day it was good, but nowadays no. We were 2 people. One ate octopus and it had o lot of salt. Other ate codfish with portuguese potato. The potato was horrible. We think that they have new chef/cook.

A great selection or traditional Portuguese dishes on the menu. We had the pork roast and athe Bacalhau (salted cod) done Braga style. Both were excellent. Very comfortable, well appointed setting and great service.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant.Love the music. Loud enough to enjoy and to engage in conversation.Service was great, I was advised on what to order. I had a great wine. The octopus as appetizer was great. The main course, was a seafood plate, based in a very flavorful tomato sauce base. Not overpowering, it was actually very gentle, not acidic at allTo top it off, I had a rice puding and it was great!.I took some extra dessert for home. Will definitely be back.
