Very good service, no delays between starters and main courses, very good quality of food, good presentation. Affordable prices. We recommend it. My name is Carlos Gonzalez. Local guide.
Ordered delivery.. they failed to include an item.. I called to inform them and no one spoke English. The lady hung up on me and I had to call back to get the delivery setvice phone number.. terrible customer service.
Like any place in Miami you are sure to find a variety of places to eat in and enjoy. But sometimes you have to go to an area most tourists do not visit for dinner. We did that and stepped into the region known as Old Havana. This was going to Cuba for dinner. And being at La Carreta you are truly in Havana for anyone who lived there or had the ability to visit it as we did. This is authentic Cuban food. Yes, you can have the Cuban sandwich. But you can have more. Start with an appetizer or salad, or as we did with Chicken soup. And this was not ordinary. This was the soup your mother would make. It was rich and filled with chicken, noodles, and vegetables. A meal unto itself. This was then followed with a small salad. A fresh made salad of the day with the proper dressing to expect if in Cuba. Then the entrees came. One was a mixed plate of a variety of dishes to try. A total of 6 portions of various entrees. From tamales to chicken, to a sausage to pork and beef. Naturally there was rice and a separate dish of black beans. You can combine this as you wish, which is typical if you were there. It was a rich and tasty meal. It was a good portion that could be lunch the next day. Or you could have split this between two. There was also the selection of a true Cuban dish of Fried Chicken Chunks “Chicharrones”. It is topped with Cuban Mojo and Onions. I picked a side of rice and beans, as well as an order of Plantains. This was heaven itself. The perfect dish that could have been dessert. As for dessert, had to have Flan over a piece of pound cake. Very different, but truly special here. It was like eating at home one night. And with a cup of Cuban coffee it was perfect. The staff at La Carreta is wonderful. Several speak both English and Cuban. The price is wonderful. The portions are large. The time is as long as you need. And it is packed. I met some people on a trip and they live in Miami. They are from Cuba and they even recommended La Carreta. We will be back...Gracias.

Been here Twice so far for Bruch and there sandwiches don't miss. The Media Noche and the Calle Ocho hit every time. The café Cubano is on point. Juices are fresh. Chill atmosphere with the locals. Prices were right on.

I recently visited this restaurant during a trip to Miami for my sister’s 21st birthday and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the service.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by an older lady who kindly told us to take a seat anywhere. We chose a table that was less crowded, as there were several open spots available. Shortly after, a younger waiter approached us and told us “no,” insisting we sit in a different area near other guests. We didn’t mind and moved without complaint.
However, after we sat down, the same waiter continued to stare at us and offered no greeting or acknowledgment. After a couple of minutes, he dropped off a drink menu and three food menus without saying a single word before walking away. At that point, we decided to leave.
While I understand busy environments can be challenging, the lack of communication and hospitality made us feel unwelcome. I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration to ensure guests have a more positive experience in the future.

Hello, I recently visited La Carreta, a traditional Cuban restaurant, and I wanted to say that the food was absolutely delicious and the service was quick — truly excellent. However, I feel it’s important to mention that I would recommend avoiding the waitress Maricela C. This was the third time she has served me, and unfortunately, she treated me poorly once again. Anyone else would be perfectly fine, just not her.
