We had a reservation for January 19th. and received a confirmation request the same day I assume from Opentable. Well after getting a taxi to the restaurant when we arrived it was CLOSED. I called the restaurant number and was informed it's closed for renovations. Why wasn't I notified of this by either Opentable or more appropriately the restaurant itself. They know their reservations and could have reached out to let us know well in advance. We've dinned at this restaurant many times and truly enjoy it. However on this occasion we were let down by a lack of customer focus and care.

I've been to this restaurant for lunch in the past and have thought it was a really nice restaurant. Great food, service, ambiance and even value. This particular Saturday night it was a packed house and there was live music (piano) combining it to make it a too noisy for our tastes, and the service very slow as they were very busy. The food was good. I will go back, but may stick to lunchtime

Had an amazing time yesterday! The waiters are super nice and the food was amazing. Italian and Latin music by master pianist. I am ready to visit again. Lovely ambience and a romantic place.

I loved the ambiance of quiet courtyard with plants and soft lighting. We were there for dinner during work week and we were the only customers there. It was almost like private dining. Waiter was sometimes a little slow. The food was tasty, however one of our meals was not what it said it was. According to menu it was supposed to be veal with porcini sauce, in reality it was beef with portobello sauce. Regardless, it was enjoyable experience. We will visit again.
Went there last night and the food was good but for those prices I expected great. Service was okay. If you are a younger couple and want something modern and fun skip La Palma; mostly elderly couples. Nothing wrong with that but it was just, for us, not the atmosphere we were looking for.

The hostess made our dining experience miserable during Mother's Day. She was insulting, offensive, unprofessional, and extremely belligerent. The food was so-so. We will never return. Very expensive. For good seafood go to La Dorada.

We had a pre-valentine dinner menu. I had ravioli with stuffed lobster. My ravioli were frozen. It seemed like they got them out from a freezer bag. The manager happen to be walking by our table and when this was brought to his attention, he just laughed in my face from the top of his lungs. (This, of course, was very unprefessional on his part and did not even apologize for what had just happened). I was later informed they had cooked it wrong. Poor excuse. Manager said he would take care of the situation. He never came back to follow up on the second time the raviolis were served. Is ashamed because to me professionalism means a lot. Other than this incident, the music was great and so was the atmosphere.Addys S

These people are horrible. They told my wife she could have the baby shower there and that the date was hers but once she went to go pay the deposit they told her the date was no longer available. They didn't even have the courtesy to let her know other people were interested in the day. Very unprofessional.

unless you are racist old cuban this place is disgusting. Awful food, nasty service. If you come by and see it empty although the courtyard looks cute now you know. If you are not white or latin they will treat you like garbage and stare you down until you leave. boycott these awful people
