Came here with two friends on a Wednesday night to celebrate a birthday and new job. This place is pricey and generally requires a reservation weeks in advance, but it's a really nice experience! The space is beautiful, food is delicious, and service is excellent. Since we were a group of 3 they sat us at the end of the table, so we didn't really get to see the food being prepared which was a bit of a disappointment. Spectacular. Excellent. Dazzled. By the foodOne bad thing, the wine pairing with the omakase. Has some wines I dont think go with the sushi. Only complaint.Compares to The Den at azabu. Uhhh tough choice. Can’t decide on that right now. But they are both at the top of my favs.
I spent 1 month in Japan with my husband for our honeymoon and I must say that we haven't been to any establishments in Miami that mirror the traditional omakase experience of Japan with the exception of Shingo. The quality of the food and fish was top notch and prepared with the utmost diligence and passion right in front of you. All the nigiris melted in your mouth.
