Our server was fantastic - personable and attentive. Food was delicious; loved the decor. This review would have been a 5*, except I specifically messaged Marabu to let them know we were celebrating our friends' wedding anniversary; they did reply to my message, but there was no recognition of the event on our visit. Very disappointing....

I had a wonderful experience at Marabú. The service was great, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great for conversation, and the drinks were excellent. The prices are also very reasonable for the portion sizes. Everything was great, there was nothing they could have done better during our dining experience. I can't wait to come back and dine again soon!

I had a little inconvenience with the food which I'm not mentioning here because the way they solved it was awesome and that didn't take away from our experience. I only mention it because they were the best at keeping us happy and that's worth mentioning. We had the croquetas de Jamón, Tasajo Short Ribs, Ropa Vieja, 4 Leches, and Flan. Everything was perfect! Flavorful and a big portion. What made our evening was their SANGRIAS! Those are by far the best sangrias I've ever tasted outside of Spain. Server and manager were great! I wish I could remember their names, but the sangrias were too good 😂❤️

Javiera was a great server! Empanadas were the best I’ve ever had.
Hidden costs. For a party of two we were overcharged for mojitos, at $25 a pice. Then we were charged 18% service charge, which we were told was for the kitchen staff. Then they expected another 20%. A real basic lunch for $175 with all the extra charges. Will not return and buyer beware.

I don’t write negative reviews, you can check my profile, I genuinely prefer to leave positive feedback but I feel here I was misled to what the restaurant actually was. I can’t understand how this restaurant can be ranked 4.9 stars on google maps, I wonder if some of these reviews are fake and I fell for that myself. We had a dinner here one week ago, we were a party of 5 (one Cuban friend in our group) and all of us were incredibly disappointed with the food. It was outrageous, food was all too fried, greasy, tasteless, NOT Cuban! Sword fish was disgusting, so salty. Salmon tartar (Cuban???) we had to send back to the kitchen, fish was off. Korean (Cuban??) short ribs were the smallest portion I saw in my life. I had stomach ache all night afterwards. Only drinks were good here. Not a proper authentic Cuban place. Shame.
