Tried several plates. Ceviche was good but could have been seasoned better and no chips included. Thought that was strange and had to ask. Pork belly I was really excited about and though the flavor combination was nice the belly itself was underwhelming. The pork could've been moister and the skin lacked crispiness. Overall the food and service were good but I expected more from a Bib Gourmand restaurant.

David our server provided exceptional and tailored hospitality. It was the perfect place to celebrate. Every dish was extraordinary, from the beef tartare + potato pavé to the herbacious wahoo crudo to the short rib + sweet potato main dish. Dollar a dozen oysters didn't hurt and the bar snacks were reliably savory and delicious. This institution gets stronger every year. Thanks MGFD team!

Food was good, not great but overpriced. That said the wine list is totally ridiculous with the prices. So crazy priced, that we resorted to ordering by the glass. the wine served was average at best. Ordered the only available Pinot for my wife and it was really bad. Will not return.

The pastrami sandwich was awful but they took it off the bill. My date had a good salad. I would come back but I would not order pastrami again. Frankly this is one of my fabvirite spots despite this experience.
I come on a weekly basis because Michael's is always solid. Lunch or dinner you are always guaranteed amazing food and top service. Jacobs gives great recommendations. Jake and Rocky at the bar makes sure I leave happy and full everytime.

As a long time patron of Michaels Genuine in MDD, I can without hesitation make the claim that the overall dining experience remains excellent throughout the years. Creative delicious food and warm friendly service delivery has been consistent from the early days through today. Should one not already know about MGFD, I highly recommend that you book a reservation at this establishment - you will not be disappointed.
