Really disappointed. Used to go fairly regularly and was a fan but it seems as though there is new management or owners. Quality of food and service has definitely gone down.
Let's start with the service: when we asked for some time to review the menu the server just hovered over my shoulder until another party arrived, which was especially odd since we were not the only table, there were at least 2 other parties when we arrived. We ended up ordering a sushi appetizer and two lunch combinations. The salads came right away and before we had a chance to finish them the first lunch special arrived -a teriyaki combo. About 10 minutes go by before the appetizer comes out and no small plates were provided for the sushi appetizer. The roll we ordered had different sauces and garnishes which ended up making a mess. Another 10 minutes go by before the second lunch combo comes out. So at this stage one entree was sitting out for 20 minutes. The server never came back to check on or meals or if we needed drink refills until it was evident we were done.

Let's talk about the food: the lunch specials were bento style and both came with a single gyoza and some edamame. No dipping sauce was provided for the gyoza. The edamame had no salt or any other kind of seasoning on them-they were served plain and dry. The rice served with the teriyaki combo was overcooked and chewy. The sushi was okay.

Overall a disappointing experience.

Our experience here was truly disappointing. We dined on a Friday night, and the atmosphere was uncomfortably quiet and awkward. no music at all, and we could clearly hear dishes being washed and servers’ conversations throughout the meal.

Having eaten here before, it was especially disappointing to see how far the quality has declined. The seafood did not taste fresh. The protein in the volcano roll was severely overcooked. Tough, chewy, and barely identifiable (possibly calamari). The vegetable soup had an old, stale flavor and did not taste freshly made. The lack of atmosphere and noticeable drop in food quality made this visit a letdown compared to past experiences. Food is way overpriced considering the quality.

We have been several times to this location but never had terrible experiences. This time they handed us food in unwashed dishes! My edamame bowl had a noodle in it! It was truly disgusting. (I hadn't ordered any meals with noodles!) The kitchen is unsanitary as is the restaurant, try another Japanese place

Usually they’re good at preparing the order correctly but this one time, I ordered a fried rice with chicken and pork and there was no pork. It’s ok. Mistakes happen but when you’re hungry and want what you ordered and PAID for, it’s a bit annoying.

lovely service and food!! our server was so kind and really went the extra mile. we came in near closing and the food was still so fresh and delicious. best sashimi i’ve had in a while!! i recommend this place any time ❤️
