Food was not good at all, definitely overrated. The service was great, the staff was very nice, and the place looks beautiful, but the food needs major improvement.

Only 2 dishes out of 7 were remarkable, the rest mediocre food. This chef has an amazing place in Lima, Peru, but Nuna doesn’t even come close. We even got sick. Typical Miami trend, nice photos, bad food.

Food wise I though it would be better.
Don't get me wrong, food was still very good but I found myself comparing dishes to other restaurants that had a better version of the dish in my opinion.
It is a nice location and ambiance is very nice. Service was impeccable and very attentive.

The food was okay, nothing special and a little expensive for the size of the dishes.

It is a pleasure to share my thoughts on the experience at nuna. The atmosphere created within the establishment is truly unique and inviting. The quality of service and food provided is consistently attentive and professional. The culinary offerings are creative, delicious, and well-presented. Overall, it is a delightful place that I would recommend.

I had high hopes for Nuna, but left disappointed. The service was poor, even with a reservation, it took 15 minutes to be seated in a half-empty restaurant and another 15 before anyone offered water. Cocktails were overpriced and underwhelming. The tiger prawn and shrimp tempura were good but came after the maki instead of as an appetizer, the sake maki was unimpressive and on the sweeter side, and the wagyu nigiri was overly peppery and unbalanced. The short rib with truffle mashed potatoes (so watery it needed a spoon) was the only standout dish and felt like the saving grace of the meal. To top it off, the kitchen closes at 10pm sharp on a Saturday night in Miami… surprisingly early. Nice ambience and setting, but overall not worth a return visit.

Finding a Nikkei restaurant in Miami is becoming easier nowadays… finding a good one … that’s the problem… And Nuna did not deliver. You expectations are high… top 50 best chefs in the world opens a new restaurant in Miami, Four Seasons… Maido gets #1 best restaurant in the world and they are a true Nikkei restaurant… you’d think you’re going to find the next big hit in Miami… unfortunately it poorly delivered on those bold flavors, unique blend of Peruvian Japanese plates … we tried every main dish our server suggested ($1000 bill) let me describe what stood out, what didn’t:
By the way the menu is extremely confusing and the servers need to simplify it …
Did: blue fin tuna tacos, and tuna tartare (great)
Desserts: great (very good)
Didn’t:
- Nuna ceviche … chewy fish, very mild flavors, not great at all…
- arroz con pato… $75 seemed overpriced for this dish but that’s what made Mayta (#39 in the world ) stood out and the one here was turned into a bowl size dish that just seemed very safe and unqualified to be star dish…
- sushi… just very very poor… disappointing…
- the excessive smoke on the chicken yakiniku did not make for a great experience …
- lomo saltado surf & turf … ehhhh not terrible but not great ..
A few tweaks, better music selection, better vibe, fresher fish, and better help from the servers could help. The arroz con pato needs to be elevated, the sushi needs a complete change and it’s got a chance to be a decent place. Not for me tho.

NUNA truly is a culinary experience but it has spectacular hits and some unfortunate misses.
First, this is a hard working staff and the Managerial team of two oustanding young ladies absolutley makes you feel special and in a 5 Star atmosphere. We are locals and were here for the Miami Spice menu. The menu is superb and lets address the HIGHLIGHTS first.
* The Ceviche is the FINEST I have ever tasted. The generous portion explodes in your mouth with each bite. My finacee is Peruvian and she is an incredible ceviche critic...we both give 10 stars out of 5...it was that delicious.
* The FLAN for dessert. I usually avoid Flan because of jello like texture and lack of flavor. THIS FLAN is WORLD CLASS. whatever magic the chef put into this Flan worked wonders. Spectacular. I wanted to lick the plate but couldn't do it in a FOUR SEASONS.
* FRIES. there is no Saltado without FRIES and these were crispy and delicious. They saved the Saltado...see below
MEDIOCRE
* The Surf and Turf Saltado. I understand what the chef was trying to accomplish but it didn't work. Traditional peruvian Saltado is created in a wok and the protein is seared at high heat. While the Filet was tender and tasty, it lacked body and was a bit mushy instead of nice and firm. The Turf? was non existent or microscopic. Highly disappointing. what saved it were the juices ---absolutley delicious which were soaked up by the 5 star fries.
LOWLIGHT
* Bluefin Tuna Tacos. Sounds great, right. Absolute disaster. The Taco shells were hard and lacked any taste. Cardboard pure and simple. There was virtually NO Tuna just a paste of avacado. Put a Taco Bell, Taco supreme in front of me rather than this. I am NOT overstating it.
Postive Note-----the manager recieving my feedback on the Tacos insisted on giving me the Ceviche as a substitute. SHE saved the day.
I would absolutely return to NUNA because of the SERVICE, the Atmosphere and the Highlights I noted. They were THAT OUTSTANDING.
If you avoid the menu shortfalls....you will have a delightful experience.

Excellent service from Gabriela and the rest of the team, super attentive. The food was exquisite, on another level. The wagyu dumplings and the Nuna ceviche are a must.

Service was great! They have an awesome Brunch on Sundays. Since it is inside of the Four Seasons, you can check out and flick up by their stunning pool afterwards. In the evenings they have live music which is a nice added touch!
