Extremely rude, inconsiderate & cruel staff. More than half of the tables were empty and my elderly, handicapped mother sat down in a chair and they threw her out because she “wasn’t a paying customer”

My recent visit to Piacere News & Cafe at Aventura Mall left much to be desired, particularly in terms of service. While the coffee was satisfactory, the overall experience was marred by rude and pushy behavior from the waitress.When it came time to settle the bill and I requested the check, I was met with unnecessary aggression from the waitress, who insisted on a tip, citing the need for the team to clean and wash dishes. This blatant attempt at soliciting a tip left a sour taste in my mouth, and I found no reason to leave any gratuity.Such behavior is unacceptable and completely undermines the dining experience. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone seeking quality service and hospitality. Piacere News & Cafe has a long way to go in terms of customer service, and until improvements are made, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Piacere in english means pleasure. But let me tell you that the employees at this place do not give any "pleasurable"service to their customers. Let's start with the young Argentinian waiter who was borderline rude to us, very serious and unfriendly. With a stuck up attitude and a rude and unfriendly service. The place was almost empty and when we finished our coffees, smoothies, croissants, etc. they were rushing us to leave. The waiter came twice to ask if we wanted anything else when we said no, he said then you can only stay a little longer but we need the table. Why? There were at least 20 empty tables around us! We were 5 people, paying for our food and drinks, we stayed around one hour! Then he sent another older women to tell us if we wanted anything else, once again rushing us to leave. Why? I would understand if you need the table since the place is full but with all your coffee shop empty you still rush your customers and then make them pay an obligatory 20% service fee for a rude and disappointing service. Never again... oh and I forgot to mention the chocolate croissant tasted like cheap margarine, the berry "smoothie" was a purple liquidy super sweet watery substance nothing compared to a smoothie...and it was bad. Not worth it!!

1-20-24 10:30 AM Fell upon this place in the Aventura Mall as I was trying to find out why Bloomingdale's wasn't open. So the nice young man from this place tells me Bloomingdale's opens at 11 AM. Ok so nice of you to tell me. Would you like to sit down and order something while you wait. Sure why not I hadn't eaten yet. So I order a cappuccino which was a 5 and a spinach empanada which was a zero. I assume in an attempt to heat it up?! It got burnt but still cold inside. See photo. Anyways I sat got caught up on emails on my phone. Before you know it Bloomingdale's was open so I left. Of course with paying $10. Hey Aventura mall is now the new Bal Harbor. No I wouldn't come here specifically again.

Great atmosphere, liked the vibe. I lo e coffee, and I try to get coffee at different places. Staff was polite and friendly. Stuff came out fast, nice presentation. I'd definitely go back.
Amazing service! Shout out to Delfina and Aldana for providing an amazing experience. I had the grilled chicken breast with salad and french fries, 10/10. Will be visiting again soon :)

I had a 12 oz Mocha Cappuccino. The coffee wasn't bad at all however the service was poor. The girl at the register, Delfina, had a bad attitude from the moment I started talking to her until I completed the order and clearly didn't want to provide service. There are plenty of other coffee shops at the mall and this one should be skipped.
