The coffee was awesome, service was great, the order was made how we asked it and they double checked with us to make sure they were prepping it right. I felt it slightly pricy, but you won't regret it.
David’s Cafe is still open during this crazy time, and I am so grateful for that. The food is fantastic. Be sure to check out their lunch specials. On the menu today? Ropa Vieja. I also got two of their croquetas de jamón which were excellent. Their cafécito- the reason we went there in the first place- was awesome and gave us the caffeine kick we’ve been craving. Highly recommend for a classic Cuban restaurant with incredible food.
Where possible I like to get out of the hotel and find local eateries for breakfast. The type of place locals come to everyday. David’s is one of those no frills place. It’s on the corner and looks like an old fashioned diner. We arrived a little later than most normally for breakfast. The food is simple traditional Cuban breakfast. The steak(rare) and eggs was cooked to perfection. Coffee was good. Service was ok. Prices were very reasonable.
