This hitting gem is as low-key as you can get in Coconut Grove Miami. The vibe reminds me a lot of living in Southern California in one of those old surf towns. Great food great service very low-key just a great place to wind down. Enjoy great fresh seafood, and have a couple of beers.

On weekends, the backyard opens up, for neighbors to enjoy bites and beers from a limited menu. The atmosphere here is decidedly unpretentious, with nautical decor and picnic tables that encourage a sense of community. While they are best known for their stone crabs, the wahoo bites, whole fried yellow snapper, and fish dip are equally delicious. Adding to the local vibe is the self-service beer and water station, where you keep your own tally on a chalkboard, fostering a sense of community and trust that is all too rare these days. If I were to offer any feedback, it would be about the portion sizes, which can feel a bit modest given the quality and taste of the offerings. However, this minor point does not detract from the overall quality. Shore to Door doesn’t rely on extravagant decor or an elaborate menu to make its mark. In a landscape often dominated by overly polished and sometimes impersonal eateries, Shore to Door presents a welcoming contrast with its casual fish shack vibe reminiscent of the Keys.
