We have been wanting to come here for a while and the stars were finally aligned and we were able to get there for brunch. My husband had the Calazione Sofia with bacon (but they brought salmon instead?). It was amazing though after they fixed the order. I had the polpo and it was one of the best octopus dishes I have ever had. This is the perfect place to people watch — right next to selfie heaven. Made our meal very interesting.The reason this didn’t get a 5 star from me is because of the service. It was disappointing considering the location, price point and the rest of the experience. The server came immediately after we sat down to take our order but we hadn’t had a chance to review the menu. We told him we weren’t ready so he left and it was like he forgot about us. It took forever for him to come back again. We ordered our wine and food at the same time. I had the Grenache but I wasn’t aware that there were two of them on the menu — and our server didn’t ask me which one I wanted either. When the bill came they had charged me $9 more for the most expensive one! We told him later and he did adjust the bill ?.Usually the drinks will come first so that you can enjoy them while you wait for your food (then perhaps even order a second one when your food comes. Our drinks came AFTER our food. We asked for salt and pepper and they brought them — then came a few minutes later and scooped them up while we were still eating ?. Never had that happen before. The server did not check on us after that until they were ready to clear the table.I wanted to love this place but alas I will probably not come back again.

I really enjoy everything about this restaurant.They make you feel welcome with a nice smile, and they even open the chair for you to seat down.The decor is really nice, very good taste ?.The food was delicious. We started with the fried seafood, a little spicy, but what a great flavor.For the main course, we had the salmon filet with mushrooms. How tender and delicious it was. Cooked to perfection.

I came last eve and really enjoyed everything about the place: the food...the decoration...the service... ( that's why I'm giving 5 stars) but....I couldn't understand why such a sophisticated place like Sofia had ...Cuban music???? In an Italian/European kind of place????Miami is full of Cuban restaurants with that type of music. Sofia is in The design district, not in calle Ocho....Definitely not the kind of music I expected. Hope you'll keep having live music in the future but more appropriate to the place and concept.
