I've been coming here since they first opened and in 2025 I see that the overall quality of this place, from food, service and atmosphere has gone down exponentially. They need to make changes to accommodate the traffic of customers that visit this place on a daily basis.

Honestly, I felt a little down. My only criticism is that the oxtails should have had much more flavor. It was missing to me the Jamaican spices. The meat was spot on tender. The rice and peas, and cabbage are great. Maybe I'm spoiled being from the Bronx NYC and having lived in a Jamaican neighborhood. Hardly any Jamaican spices on the oxtails. Clearly, it's an immensely popular place. The drive-thru order car line was wrapped around the building to the street. The parking lot spaces all taken up and inside a long line to wait to order. Which I didn't mind. The service workers were extremely working hard to fulfill peoples orders and were very friendly despite the demand of people. I drove all the way from Brickell Av and 25th Road in anticipation of this meal. I so much miss from home. I'm a New York Rican. I love oxtails the Puerto Rican đ”đ· version, Dominican Version, but the Jamaican version is different from Latinos. P.S. I was very happy with the portions, no complaints there. I bought a large dinner. This is from the blanquito boricua oxtails is one of my favorite meals

Difficulties with the staff.
After waiting 20 minutes in the drive-through and placing my order, the drive-through attendant instructed me to come inside to receive 8 piece of barbecue chicken. Upon entering, the cashier appeared to have an attitude and refused to acknowledge me, even while fully aware of my purpose for visiting. When I informed her that I needed to place another order, as she did not have the previous one and was aware that the drive-through attendant had advised me to come inside, she continued to ignore me.
Delicious food!!! They give you a heaping plateful!!!

Iâm Dominican and this food is one of the best Caribbean foods Iâve ever had, the brown chicken stew and rice and peas are stellar. Cant comment much on the service bc I typically order uber, I dont go in person but they always pack my food right with good portions.

Listen! I wanted to like this place but it was a freaking let down. I was sure that the food was going to be on point because the drive thru was wrapped around the buildingâŠBUT.. the curry chicken was salty and had no curry flavor..even the rice and peas wasnât good.. only good thing on my plate was the plantain! maybe the other food is good but the curry isnât it! Thank God it was only $6 and some change.. The customer service was ok could have been better but thatâs my bad because that was my initial red flag that the food wasnât going to be good! Im not sure if I would give them a second chance because I honestly didnât enjoy the food.. hopefully they make the correction.

For a restaurant that should be at the Pinnacle for Jamaican food in Florida, I'm very disappointed, it's as if they don't care anymore. The food looks Jamaican but smells and tastes like the chef knows nothing about the country or just made the food from some pictures he\she saw. I'm kinda embarrassed that this is a representation of my country's cuisine. Can't decide the flavor of the rice, the steam veg just tasted like uncooked oil and the jerk chicken tasted as if if was only seasoned with salt. The curry gravy was just color.
Few years ago the food was way better, but I guess the focus shifted from food to financial.

I have frequented this location for a few years now and despite noticing a degradation of the quality of service and food I continued to go. This was mainly because of their budget friendly options and convenience of the location being 10 minutes from my home. During my last visit I ordered a small cow foot through the drive thru. After paying for and receiving the food I noticed that the food was missing the extra gravy I asked for and it had two hooves which I do not like. I parked my car and went inside for them to fix it which I have done with minimal issues before. I waited patiently by the register for about 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. I didnât want to just cut in the line but had waited a long time so I rested my food on the counter and told the cashier that I wanted to return the food. She then told me to âmove my foodâ. I moved the food away from the register and to the side. She told me to move the food again. I told her that Iâm not holding the food any longer. She then turned and told another employeeâ Come deal with this ladyâ in a rude tone. Then she proceeded to make comments with the rest of the staff in patios. This is something they do often. Iâve looked past the rudeness of the staff many times before for the sake of peace but enough is enough. I donât know what the issue is with these Jamaican cashiers at Dutch Pot but it is the responsibility of management to set the tone for the standard of customer service and it is obvious that this is not being done. As I was addressing the cashier a male customer pushed himself in front of me and said âwoman get out the bumbuhclawt wayâ. He got in my face in a threatening manner as I responded to him. His girlfriend then got in my face as I defended myself. The food is not good enough for me to deal with disrespectful staff and a hostile environment. I will never go back there.

I live 2 minutes from Dutch pot and I am pregnant and I was craving oxtails. I ordered their small oxtail it was $20. When I got home to eat it I noticed something strange there was literally 2 pieces of oxtail meat and they tried to blend brown stew chicken meat in it without thinking I would notice. I immediately return it and I am so disappointed that they would even do that. If they were running low on oxtail they could have told me so I can order something else. Everyone check your food before leaving!!!
