I just wanted regular bake Mac & cheese yall gave me bell pepper Mac & cheese soup. I gave the food to my Dog! She don’t even like it! Thats not normal. Im promos it ain’t. I order a small oxtail in Fort Lauderdale $8 & got the same portion for $25. Never Ever Again! I was just trying to be spontaneous & not drive all the way into Fort Lauderdale. I’m sooo mad! Food is to expensive to be playing with na c’mon ????

As you walk into this place of business do you get a moldy smell the entire front of the restaurant is flirty !! The food was cold and the Girl at the front was rude and not welcoming at all.. Sad that I have to take my business after 15 years of being a loyal customer ?

Ordered the Jerk Chicken fried rice, pepper shrimp, potato salad, and a large carrot juice. The food was great as usual. Service not overly friendly, and the parking can be akward when leaving. Food is definitely worth it though.

Good juices. Very good juices. Had the mannish water Friday it was so good. I suspect when the old lady is back there cooking the food is excellent. However the curry goat I had today Saturday was terrible. Powdery curry and goat was tough. Undercooked rice. Sad sad

Listen I haven't been to Tropical Oasis in a longggggg time but I was so happy to stop in. I ordered the brown stew fish and while I waited I had a jerk chicken patty. Yes! A jerk chicken patty. In all of my years I've never heard of a jerk chicken patty but man that was good! What does it taste like? Imagine your traditional Jamaican patty, yes the flaky warm beef patty. Now stuff a few pieces of jerk chicken in there and there you have it ladies and gentlemen...magic! Now as for the brown stew fish it was good. The balance of sweet with a hint of salt was there. The rice and pieces were decent nothing special. My biggest issue was the size of the fish. This was the thinnest fish I had ever seen. The flavor was good but where's the rest of the fish. The service was good. The woman at the counter was friendly enough and helped us decide what we should order. We wanted to eat in but noticed that there were only two tables. So take out was encouraged. Overall this is a good spot for Jamaican food but someone needs to fatten up the fish.

I ordered the oxtail and chicken combo. The oxtails did not have any Jamaican flavor to it. All you taste is salt. I also ordered the fried dumplings and it was something that looked like smashed fried bread. No flavor and no form. I keep giving this place a chance and the food keeps getting worse. I'm done.

I ordered Ackee and saltfish. It was delicious; However, the saltfish could have used one more boil off. Too salty man. Cho! Please consider people with Hypertension or high blood pressure in the future. ??

I ordered the oxtail, stewed chicken combo With rice and peas. Everything was bad. The oxtails were tough and tasteless, the chicken was dry and tasteless and the sauce for both was bland. This was the worse meal I've ever eaten from this restaurant. I don't know if they have a new cook or what, but nothing about this food tasted good or had the traditional jamaican seasonings. I also ordered two fried dumplings and they were fried very hard and tasted like vinegar. Just nasty. I can't say if or when I will order from this restaurant again.
