You shouldn't miss it if you're wanting be involved with Micanopy heritage and local flare -however, the ribs are great - The white meat chicken was dried out and disappointing. If the chicken looks dried out - it is. Try the dark meat.

Spending the day up in Micanopy, searching for a great place to eat lunch up here and this was suggested to me by the people at the City Antique Mall.. it’s located as a store and a gas station but oh my gosh, everybody around here knows about this place!! While I was here at lunch it got packed; . It’s not just a general store. They have a small lunch counter and nine tables inside and more tables outside. We were staying at the state park and needed toothpaste, we stumbled on to this gas station/ hidden restaurant.
So not be fool by it. You walk in and you don’t know where you are. It is a store but between ails there are tables. If you go to the far back the smells takes you to the spot… they area restaurant/diner/I do not know how to call this. The make brisket, pork, ribs, chicken and many sides.
