I hate to do this but my family and I were out late just wanted to get something real quick to eat, we walked in and Nina our server greeted us was kind of off, got upset about my grandma ordering coffee, rudely put honey on our table, got upset when we asked for straws, didnt give one of us a set of silverware so I had to eat my food with a knife. I understand that it is late but it is no excuse because the cook gave outstanding food but the service was trash, Im not sure if she was having a bad day but her attitude threw my dinner off.

I walked in & ordered a to go order just now. The lady in the black uniform with red hair & hoop earrings had a problem with me in regards to me sitting at the counter top while waiting on my foo even though the buissness is at 1/3 it's capacity....
Never had a waffle house in the 7 states I've been to tell me get up & go sit in the seats on the wall.
I always tip $15-20 per trip no matter my bill & this time I will not be tipping.

Waffle House Avalon is a great restaurant to eat, great and fast food. Kudos to the manager Heather, she displayed great customer service, great cooked food. My daughter loved her scrambled eggs.
Very accommodating staff too. Will definitely come back again.

Nice clean restaurant with excellent cooking staff and counter staff! The grits are great if you like grits and eggs with toast for breakfast, and of course they have many other things on the menu you can try - I found the restaurant to be excellent and would highly recommend breakfast there after your night stay at Red Roof Inn next door, or maybe several breakfasts there after several nights stay at Red Roof Inn. They are within walking distance of the Inn so no need to even move your car or truck to go eat! Just walk over and get a seat and order! You will not be diaappointed by the food as they give generous portions and it is all so tasty and smells so good! Great place to stop in on vacation or passing through as well, or if you just feel like going to Waffle House for their great food, and live in Pace or Milton…Pop on in for a meal - you won’t regret it. Prices are reasonable and food and service are excellent!
Vegetarian options: I love the hash browns and the grits and if you are lacto-ovo vegetarian then eggs whether over easy or scrambled or how ever you like your eggs (I like them over easy with cheese sprinkled on them), they will make them to your liking. There are other items that are vegan on the menu as well. Definitely check it out!
