We sat at the bar. Katiara was very attentive and the food was great! Live music on a Friday night. We ordered 6 Rockefeller (AMAZING!!!) and 6 Raw Oysters, Fish Tacos and Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper). We'll be back!!!

I was not familiar with Austons on 98. I did a search for Oysters nearby and found this hidden gem. It's not exactly on 98, but between 98 and Scenic Gulf Dr. The service and food was excellent! Lots of TVs on the wall--great for football season.

The raw oysters were very fresh and delicious. However, the clam chowder we ordered together tasted off, as if it had gone bad. When we mentioned it, they kindly took it off the bill. Everyone was very friendly, which we really appreciated.
Finally tried this place and we'll have to come back now too! The service was above and beyond with answering our questions and the food was ready quickly. We tried the lobster tacos and shrimp wontons and were very happy with both! The sauces bring the dishes to life. There was also live music inside which made for a very cool vibe.

My wife and I ate there last night. Kind of expected it to just be a bar with “bar food”, was so wrong! We had a dozen fresh oysters, I actually had a few of them and I usually hate seafood! Super yummy! I had the chicken dinner, sauce and chicken was really good, so were the cheese grits. My wife had the catch of the day, happened to be Flounder, one of her favorites. The portion that came out was HUGE and she said really yummy, too! Tons of beers on tap and some funny t-shirts for sale too. Great place, may go again tonight!

Well tried calling and putting in an order but whoever answered the phone was frustrated that she couldn't find something on the menu, so what do we do instead of problem solving we play dumb. Now she can't hear me and hangs up. I call back you know to put the rest of my order in and before I say anything she says I still can't hear and hangs up. 🤣 sounds good 👍. Lost a large order and will never be able to give you an actual review.
