After speaking about this place for the last 2 years and how good it was I was amazed and how rude the staff was here. We had a group 8 offered to sit separate and was basically thrown out of the restaurant. I have never seen such rude and hostile staff anywhere ever. Which is unfortunate because our first visit was amazing. Staff showing us items off menu telling us about their lives ect. Very sad to see how far this has gone down hill in 2 years.

Dinner at SUSHIMOTO is ALWAYS a pleasure for the tummy, and for the soul … Andy, his wife, and the whole stuff surely know how to take care of you. And of course, their food is delicious. We always struggle to decide if go for ramen, rolls, or any other delicacies they might serve that night. If you have not been there, do yourself a favor and try it out!

I looked up a sushi restaurant because I was wanting some fresh sushi since I lived so far away from the coast so it is incredibly hard to get something that tastes fresh. I happen to stumble upon this place in the area and my girlfriend and I went and were incredibly surprised. Our server was an absolute angel and the food was absolutely wonderful. We talked to the owner about his passion for food and his culture and it moved me. Whenever I ever come back that way this will be the place I will be coming back to because it felt like there was a little piece of being back overseas hanging out at one of my favorite bars with my friends.

This was mine and my boyfriends first time eating here and our experience was wonderful! The food was fresh and flavorful, our server was bubbly and sweet, and the owner was so personable and charming. If we're ever in Destin again, we will absolutely eat at Sushimoto. ?

Have to agree with the other patrons. The signs in front are unwelcoming and ridiculous! Here's the deal, If you're going to put up a sign that says "No means No", you need to first acknowledge the person to have a conversation that generates a no. Nevertheless, our party stood there for 10 minutes after an employee saw us walk in. Clearly, we weren't important enough, she walked off without even a greeting. 10 mins later one person came and asked "have you been helped yet?" Short, we could not be seated for an hour - we left. A group walked in 5 mins after us w/o a hello either, heard the wait and walked out. Wanted to try Sushimoto, but the experience was enough not to attempt to go back.

It Took Me a While to Actually Experience Sushimoto due to their Hours and The Fact that they Close for Months in the Summertime, but It Was Definitely Worth it! Best Sushi I have had in Destin!

There fish are so fresh. My each piece of sashimi were nice and thick, they melt in my mouth! I love this place. If you want to have authentic Japanese food, this is the place to go.
Best restaurant in town. They make you feel like family. I have never had a dish that wasn’t beyond exceptional. Great family. I love supporting their success. Best sushi I have ever had!

Everything was soooo good! I haven't had a volcano roll in years. It was delicious! I missed the special bluefin sushi, and we were too full to get it by the time I noticed.

We came in with friendly greeting. Anna was our server, she was so great. Recommended the Off the Beating Path. That roll was amazing. Also had the XXX Riddler. Instead of yakisoba, I had the udon soba. Amazing!! Grill squid was delicious! The way they prepare the Uni Shooter was very TASTY! Andy is the owner he was so spontaneous. Will be coming back often. This is my first time here. And will not be my last. Already love this place!!!! Wanted to try the whole fried Lion Fish, but seasonal only. Can wait till summer to try that out. Also they are closed Sunday and Monday. And closed beginning of summer. They have to visit family. Great server, great place, GREAT ATMOSPHERE. LOVE THIS PLACE.
