Amazing food the service isn't very friendly but the quality meats make up for it! Would like a more personable experience but you know it's all relative.

Grab a box of precut meats for a great price!Want lunch? They got it! Heaping portions from the hot bar at a low price! Can't beat it. Johnston's catered our two-day wedding weekend events, with a plated dinner on Friday night and BBQ spread Saturday afternoon. The food was absolutely delicious, and Tracy and her crew provided seamless service. Coordination of the event was easy and the results were outstanding. Our guests commented over and over that this was the best "wedding food" they had ever eaten. 5 stars for sure!

Great service. There was no stew meat in the case today and the young man behind the counter immediately followed up with I can cut you some in just a few seconds. He did. Vacuum sealed it and completed our order. Of course the quality is always top notch.

I ate there again today, the hamburger steak with gravy was one of the best ones I've ever had! The cabbage was great as well, the potato aggrautin was also good. I just couldn't eat it all. I ate more than I have in several days. The only thing that would have made the hamburger steak with gravy better would've been a crisp but cooked onion! Oh, and their sweet tee is great too!

I absolutely love Johnston's. ALL their meats are top notch. My only compliant is that when you ask for them to cut it differently than they think it should be it is a Big Problem and you come home only to be aggravated by spending your money for something you don't want. I have brought it back a couple of times and wasn't treated very nice. There are some personnel that are down right nasty to others that a very pleasant. I continue to go there because no matter the price I know I am getting the best meats possible. My husband on the other hand wants me to stop going there. He says he wants what he wants and is wiling to pay for it. If they won't do it find a place that will.
So worth the 2 hour drive from Mossy Head/Defuniak Springs area. Best pork shoulder steaks we have ever had. Love the Beef Chuck Roast, it melts in your mouth when pressure cooked!!!! And the hamburger is to die for.Customer service is top notch. They even filled our cooler with ice for free for our 2 hour drive home. We will always buy from here from now on. A customer for life.

My go to place for meat processing. The holding pens are clean and easy to back into for unloading animals. Jeff is top notch to deal with and helps with cut selection. Meat packaging is well done in vacuum sealed clear packaging and labeled appropriately.

I'm a truck driver, I was just passing through the area and stopped here for groceries, I was very surprised by their selection! Also the neighborly demeanor of the staff here was quite lovely.

They moved the restaurant back to the market. Great idea! Had lunch there today 5/24/23. BQ Chicken, BQ ribs, corn bread, 2 sides and ice tea. All was delicious and southern friendly service.
