“We were exploring the countryside around Tallahassee and decided to try Tupelo's for lunch. It's a very informal place with an old Florida vibe--linoleum tiles on floor, mismatched but comfortable table and chairs. You order at the counter and within a few minutes you pick up your sandwiches in a brown paper bag--ready to eat inside or take out. My BLT on rye was the best BLT ever! Tons of bacon and fat slices of a juicy tomato with crunchy lettuce on bakery bread. (I had told my husband "white" bread, but he heard "rye," and I'd order it that way again.) Husband ordered the tuna salad which was also top quality. The tuna was chock full of goodies, and the sandwich also had farm-fresh tomatoes and lettuce plus a slice of cheese. Their prices are extremely reasonable. After lunch I bought two pastries from their case to take home. We've already sampled the cinnamon bun, and it's the best I've had since the ones made by the lunch ladies at my elementary school back in the 1950s--the ultimate compliment. Next time we're in Monticello, we'll certainly go to Tupelo's again. I'd like to try the quiche, but I may not be able to resist the BLT.”

“Excellent service. Very cold beer. Food tastes great. A bit expensive but you get what you pay for. My only complaint is something management cannot control. People bring their screaming rug rats into the restaurant ruining others people's meal.”

“Went today with a friend. Got the stuffed manicotti special. It was really tasty and enjoyed the salad bar as usual. Our waitress I've had the last two times I have been there and she is a joy. Very friendly, everyone there is so very nice. Food came out piping hot and fresh. Love going here and go as often as I can. Sorry, forgot pictures. After wards, ice cream at Arctic Scoop. Beautiful day for an outing.”

“Mafia Pizza is located around other establish in a big circle. All of the businesses are a house. Its weird seeing a house on the outside and its a restaurant inside. The restaurant is spacious inside. Decent amount of parking but be careful of all the rocks. Inside they have a salad bar. The pizza was pretty good. Prices was fair and the workers were nice. I came in a large group and they were able to seat us together in a large long table. The area is in a small quaint area of northern Florida. I would visit here again!”

“For a small establishment here in Monticello it has a wide variety of products (at a great price) that are delicately prepared and served with a smile and style, i really wish you all the best and hope you are here to for many years to come.”

“Nice to see in Monticello. Had a burger and it was okay. Not anything to write home about and very pricey . Two people, and spent $100 with only 3 drinks and two meals. They definitely need some reasonably priced specials. The service was excellent. It is nice to have a bar in Monticello.”

“I ate there again today, the hamburger steak with gravy was one of the best ones I've ever had! The cabbage was great as well, the potato aggrautin was also good. I just couldn't eat it all. I ate more than I have in several days. The only thing that would have made the hamburger steak with gravy better would've been a crisp but cooked onion! Oh, and their sweet tee is great too!”

“I'm looking forward to sharing my experience at this small but very comfortable restaurant. Although it's appearance is deceiving, one must recognize it's providing a quick meal at a reasonable price. The staff is trained for customers satisfaction. Altogether,, bravo! Job well done.”
