“drove to Tallahassee from Valdosta, GA, for a shopping trip, and a good friend recommended El Rey Tacos & Beer. I’m so glad I stopped by! This place instantly transported me back to Mexico. I had the best torta I’ve ever tasted, the bread was perfectly fresh and soft, and every bite was bursting with flavor. It’s hard to find something this authentic back home in Valdosta. I also tried their aguas frescas, and they were incredibly refreshing and flavorful. My 10-year-old daughter ordered tacos and surprised me by eating four! She said they were the best tacos she’s ever had.This place is absolutely worth the drive. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone craving true Mexican flavors!”

“Some of our food was good, some not so good. The mixed appetizer was not fresh - it appeared to have numerous reheated items. I'll skip that next time. The lamb dish was very greasy and the meat fatty. The flavor was good. Butter chicken flavor was good. The service was very slow and inattentive despite only a few people dining. “This is the REALEST WAFFLE HOUSE ON THE PLANET!!!! This crew is the liveliest crew EVER! They argue sometime yes, but what real functioning family doesn’t? The cook maintains balance and order and still gets orders out quickly. What ever people say in the other reviews about the server is wrong. She really cares about her customers and works hard to keep her tables clean just gets a little sidetracked but the core is THEY CARE! Every time I come in people give this crew a run for their money!!! They always DELIVER! Not bad entertainment. These are the most human like and humble Waffle houses I’ve been in. I appreciate this crew!

So we decided to get something to eat and we went to this one that is totally out of the way. Now it was 3 of us my grandson and his dad along with myself. There was no one inside and the young man who assisted us was very attentive to my grandson because he has autism and loves to speak to people. We founded out that his name was Chris and thrn my grandson eyes lite up because his name is Chris also along with is dad. As we prepared to leave we was told that the cook name was Chris also. Maybe that is standard when I look at other snow cones places but it would be really great if offered sizes about 1/4 that size. It was like $9 for the kiddie. I could’ve done with 1/4 the amount of snow cone for $5. On the online menu it does not show the cost to be so high. It hurt my stomach before I could even dream of finishing it.
I understand it can cost more to run a local business with quality ingredients, but offering more size options would make it more affordable and enjoyable for everyone. It just makes me sad to throw out half of my snow cone because I can’t finish it.”

“I bring members of a Tallahassee Meetup group (Friends, Fun & Food) to Mom & Dads at least one or two times per month. We always request seating in the bar area where there are fully set tables and padded bench and chair seating for up to 14 adults. It has excellent ambiance because of table lighting, very comfortable seating, and very low background sounds allowing conversation among our entire group as well as direct conversation to the bar area attendant. That provides very quick service for both drink and food requests. We frequent many restaurants each month in addition to Mom & Dads and yet it remains one of our favorites due to their combination of seating, a great menu selection, full satisfaction with their well-plated entrees and bar drinks, Happy Hour prices at times, and exceptional service. There are very few restaurants that equal or exceed them.”

“I was craving some street tacos and saw the 4.8 rating on Uber eats for Taqueria El Calentanos. I ordered the street tacos and a side of beans. Now, I have to say that I have had street tacos before, and the really good ones are moist and flavorful. So, when I ordered the carnitas I had very high expectations. First let me say that the beans were very good as were the other accoutrements, but the Carnitas were very dry, like they were the last ones left under a light all day. I had hoped that with such high ratings I would be happy with and enjoy my meal. I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed in my street tacos.”

“I have ordered from Red Owl for all 4 locations with the company I work for. Our staff of 80+ people really, really enjoy the breakfast sandwiches from Red Owl. We have a lot of staff that only eats chicken and they RAVE about the chicken, egg and cheese on a bagel. I'm not a coffee drinker; however, our staff really love their coffee too. The sandwiches are hot upon delivery and wrapped neatly and clearly labeled for easy picking for their preference in meat that is on the sandwich.”

Server Rashida was nice, brought out everything asked, she was timely. There was a male hostess he was quite friendly also. The restaurant was clean and orderly. For some reason I don’t remember there being “radio“ music before, bit off putting. 10/10 easily.”

“If you are looking for incredible variety and great value, Chow Time Grill & Buffet is hard to beat! The spread here is massive, featuring everything from classic American comfort foods and fresh sushi to a great selection of seafood and stir-fry.
What really impressed me was the hibachi grill station—being able to pick your own fresh ingredients and watch the chef cook it right in front of you is a huge plus. The trays were kept remarkably fresh and refilled constantly, even during the dinner rush. The staff was friendly, plates were cleared quickly, and the dessert bar had a fantastic selection to finish the meal. Highly recommend if you have a big appetite!”

I got the oreo rolled ice cream with bubble waffle and it was pretty good but incredibly sweet, which is to be expected, but it was very sickly sweet that I couldn’t finish it. The bubble waffle was weirdly dense and not fluffy and light like it should be and also kind of salty. Overall food was mid, next time I might try a boba drink. Super sweet service though!”

“We ordered the Drums Of Heaven, Garlic Naan, Cheese Naan, & the Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice everything was amazing, the flavor of the sauce on the Drums Of Heaven alone was absolutely amazing, and when we got are main course the rise and chicken combo was the best, and the flavor alone had me wanting more I rate this a 10/10 I will definitely come back and you should visit ♥”

“We love Jeremiah's! My daughter and I go at least once a month to grab a sweet treat here or one of their other locations. Staff is always friendly. You also get a nice amount of serving. We usually get the small they run around $6.I would say the tables outside sometimes may need a little cleaning.All you have to do is mention it to an employee and they will get right to it. 🙂”
