“If you’re anywhere near Tallahassee and not pulling up to Flamingoz A Taste of Miami, you’re genuinely missing out.

From the moment you walk in, the energy is unmatched, vibrant, welcoming, and full of that real Miami flavor. The food? Absolutely next level. Every bite tastes like it was made with intention, culture, and a whole lot of love. You can tell this isn’t just a spot, it’s an experience.

And what really takes it over the top is the people.

Christian makes sure everything runs smoothly and that guests feel taken care of from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely cares about the vibe and the quality of service, and it shows in every interaction.

Then there’s Courtney behind the bar, easily one of the highlights of the night. Not only are the drinks on point (like, dangerously good), but her personality brings the whole place to life. She’s attentive, quick, and somehow makes every guest feel like a regular.

Between the flavorful food, the lively atmosphere, and standout service from people who actually care, Flamingoz isn’t just a place to eat, it’s where you go to have a good time and leave already planning your next visit.

“This is absolutely AMAZING mexican good, whether you go with one of the classics, or one of the fusion options. I had the birria tacos and the sauce that they brought it with was stellar, super rich and tasty, not to mention perfect with my leftover chips.

Speaking of chips, I got the guacamole, and the flavor balance was amazing! Each bite was basically addicting and I polished off the whole bowl of guac in the end, but it's absolutely able to be shared with the table, super worth it!

I came in on a Friday, and on Fridays they have a 2 for 1 on frozen margaritas and tequilla shots, and lay me tell you; that margarita was not playing around. The flavor was (expectedly) fantastic, and it was STRONG. I only had one, and I felt like I had spent hours on a bar crawl, all on a two for one I shared with a friend.

It was an absolute tragedy that me and my friend were the only patrons in the restaurant for most of our visit, because this place is amazing on price, portions, atmosphere, and staff friendliness.

A heads-up is that parking will be behind the restaurant, and there is outdoor seating back there, in addition to the indoor seating and the bar. You can also get into the parking lot from the back, meaning you night be able to dodge the downtown traffic if you're coming from the right way.
