“drove to Tallahassee from Valdosta, GA, for a shopping trip, and a good friend recommended El Rey Tacos & Beer. I’m so glad I stopped by! This place instantly transported me back to Mexico. I had the best torta I’ve ever tasted, the bread was perfectly fresh and soft, and every bite was bursting with flavor. It’s hard to find something this authentic back home in Valdosta. I also tried their aguas frescas, and they were incredibly refreshing and flavorful. My 10-year-old daughter ordered tacos and surprised me by eating four! She said they were the best tacos she’s ever had.This place is absolutely worth the drive. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone craving true Mexican flavors!“

“6.4.26/3.11pm - I just had my first visit for takeaway here and it won't be my last. Customer service was great, the facilities looked clean, and the food was good. The bathroom was almost immaculate which was a plus. The guac was darker (aged) more than I prefer; it didn't look freshly made. I can't stand brownish guacamole as it's so easy easy to whip a small batch to order. the burrito was just refried beans and protein: there was no lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guac inside. that may be their style do I'll order something different next time.“

“La Tiendita is the real deal—quality, authentic Latin American cuisine for a great price with friendliness and hospitality. This was where my Spanish 2 class chose (unanimously) to go for their off-campus, graduation lunch, and ordered their food in Spanish, loved it all, and had so much fun. I fed the whole class and another educator (13 people—11 of them teenagers/ known for eating a lot, also a couple of vegetarians and gluten intolerant that found menu items they loved too) for around $270 (this amount includes a 20% tip). Dine in or take out, I highly recommend La Tiendita.“

“I highly recommend that you stay away from this establishment. After being a regular customer for years, I was turned away rudely a full hour before they were supposed to close. I mentioned that them deciding to close an hour early and affecting my plans didn’t make me want to come back and I was told “OK, goodbye.” I have never felt less appreciated as a longtime customer. “chao mein is regular decent, the pineapple fried rice was great, the combination steak, shrimp and chicken also very good. The staff all speak Spanish, with little English, but not feel intimated to speak English, they were friendly. Usually, quiet not many people. Super close to school, which I would often come to eat for lunch.“

“Just moved to Tally, and one of the first things on my list was to find a taco spot i can regularly visit. I had tried 2 mexican restaurants before this spot and I found them disappointing. I had an inkling my spot was going to be a mexican food truck they did not disappoint. I recommend classic street taco and their sopes. They're located in a gas station parking lot, that being said they dont have a lot of shaded seating. Go for the weekend take out, not the vibe“

“I’ve been coming to this place since 2021, back when I was in college, and every time I’m in town I always come back. The food is consistently great, and the staff are always super nice and friendly—even when I haven’t visited in a while and there are new team members. The restaurant has a really nice outdoor area that’s perfect for hanging out with a group of friends, and the inside is also cozy and welcoming. Overall, it’s a cute spot to grab some drinks and good food. They also have BOGO margaritas at great prices, which is a huge plus!“

The grilled chicken was rather dry and the Cuban sandwich was lacking flavor in the pork and virtually no mustard. Not sure I'd go back there. There's other options in the student union to try. It's a decent back up place. The service seemed super fast for the number of folks there that day. It was packed. We used the kiosk so there's really no interaction with the employees.“

As I went to order, the young man behind the counter was extremely exuberant and appeared almost excited at the mere opportunity to take my order. I ordered a bowl with seasoned rice, chicken, black beans, sour cream and queso. Simple, yet perfectly elegant just to my taste buds’ desires. I was very satisfied with the portions of my rice chicken and beans, however when it came time to pour my queso, I was left with nothing but satisfaction, allowing me to debate whether I even needed sour cream to
make my bowl creamy enough. Absolute 10/10 would order again and I will definitley go out of my way to return to this Moe’s just because of the pleasure and satisfaction I left with tonight. The other stores the employees are rude, and I almost always have something wrong with the food weather it’s quality of the food or them just not having it in general.
