We dine at El Jalisco restaurants all over Tallahassee. This evening, we did not have a great experience at the Southwood location. We waited almost 15 minutes for a server to come and greet us. We asked a few people to let our server know we were there. I understand it was the holiday and the restaurant was starting to get busy. But we still should have been greeted on time. Came here during Cinco de Mayo. Really awesome setting both inside and outside! Live band music was on point. Friendly wait staff. Prices reasonable. Great service all round. There is a play area for kids as well. You can also watch games here!

Wasn't impressed. Got seated right away but service was very slow. They were in no hurry to get drink order or food order. Once order was taken, food came out in reasonable time. Never refilled drink. Remove plates when done but had to wait again for bill. They automatically charge 22% gratuity. Not worth it.
