“Highly recommend Black Radish. My husband and I are in town for our anniversary and were lucky enough to find this vegetarian-friendly place. The atmosphere is welcoming and bright, the kitchen is open, and the staff are nice.We ordered the tofu lettuce wraps, bubble potatoes, and sweet potato flautas. Bubble potatoes are light and fluffy with a bang bang (spicy-ish) sauce, flautas were filled with roasted sweet potatoes, and the main dish - the lettuce wraps - were build your own with sides of jalapeno, peanuts, kim chi, mint, cilantro, and sauces. All were delicious! One of the owners, Matthew, stopped by our table to make sure we were having a good experience. Upon finding out it was our anniversary dinner he gave us a dessert of our choice! We had the peanut butter ice box pie - and it was light, airy, chocolatey, and the peanut was present but subtle. We plan to return for dinner tonight to try a few more dishes...and the carrot cake!“
“We had a lovely dinner at The Huntsman! We started at the bar while we waited for our table. Our favorite cocktail was The Woodsman. Our server, Luis, was fantastic! We enjoyed all his food and drink recommendations. The eggplant appetizer and Japanese wagyu strip are a must try!“
“We started with the Spinach salad. I love spinach but I have to say I wasn't a fan of this salad. it just didn't have enough cheese, berries or almonds for the amount of spinach. spinach is very bland by nature and none of the other ingredients had enough flavor or quantities to give the salad flavor. as a matter of fact the Green Goddess dressing was not very flavorful either. however, I had the shrimp mushroom & ham linguini.. it was pretty good except it had no ham.. my friend had the MoJo chicken.. he said it was pretty good as well. staff was attentive & friendly. we day outside which was a pleasure. if I'm in the area again I'll give it another try. btw.. check their website or their FB before you go because that's where you'll find their menu for the day.“
“I went here for the first time, and I ordered the blueberry habanero wings, and I also ordered the she-crab soup. With the cutest little piece of bread in it. Everyone was kind and friendly. They had a bunch of ladies in there with red hats on, and they were funny too. I will be coming back because I like the food it's different, it's unique, and it's very tasty, and you won't break the bank it's affordable. Which is important now these days for people who can't afford all this food out here. I have plenty of wings in Tallahassee, but I finally found my spot. kudos to You Leon God bless you and what you have going on. And I pray that God bless you and prosper you in ways that you could never imagine.“
“Backwoods Crossing catered our wedding a few weeks ago and did an OUTSTANDING job! We had guests from all over the country and they all commented on how wonderful the food was. Everything they serve is farm to table. We had crab cake balls, bacon wrapped scallops, and the best stuffed mushrooms you have ever tasted. For our dessert we had a vision of a donut cake. Kayla and DJ constructed an actual wedding cake made with krispy cream donuts and it was the centerpiece of the night! The staff at Backwoods was also great to work with. Alex and Taylor did a wonderful job coordinating all of the details for our big day. Hire Backwoods for catering or go eat at the restaurant- they go above and beyond!“
“I tried this restaurant when it first opened and the food was great, but the atmosphere and service was really lacking. Fast forward several years and I went again last night and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The fried pimento cheese balls with a peach sauce were amazing, the salmon was perfection and the bread pudding dessert was SO yummy. Amy, our server, was so fun and attentive, too. All in all a great night and we'll be back soon!“
“Absolutely incredible meal. The service was special. Dalton was on top of everything and made sure our needs were met. The food was just amazing. Every time Dalton came to the table he could hear us talking about how amazing everything was. We loved our evening so much that we're already talking about when we can come back. Thank you all so much.“
“Pet Friendly! Food is awesome. Always fresh. Servers and staff are super friendly. The owner actually came outside and greeted us the first time we were ever there which was a busy Friday evening in the summer. A family run business who loves you and your business.“
“Amazing appetizers and pineapple cider, which I enjoy sampling with my girlfriend. It stays extra warm in the covered patio bar area with multiple heaters and plastic sheeting to keep out any wind.Parking: It's complimentary valet parking, but I wish you weren't locked into this being the only option. I know that real estate is very tight in this neighborhood, so all of the surrounding lots have to have tow-away zones.“
“If you’re looking for quality, affordable food come to vale! Their staff is very well trained Jessie and Jewl were so helpful by providing us great recommendations! I have so many dietary restrictions but I can truly say Vale has options for everyone! Make sure to stop by and try the Açaí bowls with amazing presentation!“
“This place is fantastic. I had the Shrimp and Grits Sandwich, Hummus, Pupusas, and Crab Soup. The Crab Soup and Shrimp and Grits Sandwich were very good, but probably would try something else nighttime. The Real Stars were the pupusas and the hummus. I will dream about them tonight when I lay down to sleep. These are the best Pupusas in town and the Hummus was unreal. Absolutely incredible. 10/10“
“First visit to Tallahassee since our son graduated in 2012. Great atmosphere and great food and service. Place was packed so we sat at the bar. Quick and friendly service from the bartender. The BLT dip was delicious and so were the MadSo burger and fries. We will be back.“
“Wow, where can I start… that server Abby she absolutely lit up my world. It was like a ray of sunshine, the serving world needs to take notice because she is the standard! The buffalo chicken dip I had was absolutely sublime, couldn’t ask for a better dinner.“
“Used to come here when it was McGowens. I know it's changed hands a few times since they closed but to walk in here & see the lighter, fresher colors was amazing. Nothing against McGowen's - it was a pub afterall, but it felt so new. And having mostly lighter fare (seafood, chicken, vegetarian choices) helped give this a delightful venue to try. Normally I always take pics but I forgot this time. They still have multiple draft options but they also include a daiquiri list (not frozen) & Mojito choices. I tried the grilled pineapple mojito & Hemingway daiquiri - both very good! My husband & I ordered the grilled jalapeño corn dip & the roasted garlic and white bean bruschetta to start, I chose the (half size) goat cheese & beet salad while my hubby had the southern smash burger! No desserts - we were too full. Our server (Tory I think her name was) was a delight! Definitely will be back!!! Check them out on Instagram at Rae's.TLH or their website: raesrestauranttlh.com“
“Anytime we are traveling through Tallahassee we have to stop by Sage. The food is always very delicious and if the weather is nice you can sit outside as well. If you want to sit at the bar they have a nice bourbon selection. We will definitely be back.“
“Recently found this gem, I simply cannot say enough good things! Customer service is top notch and don't get me started on the food. Everything is cooked to order, and with all of the fast food options around this is a breath of fresh air. My family loves South One Eatery.“
“Very much enjoyed my experience here. While their wine options are great, they also had a coffee blonde on draft that was surprisingly very good and got a couple rounds of, but it was pricey at $9 a glass. It was made locally though so made it worth it. The food was delicious as well. I highly recommend the quesadilla - very well done and the duck was nice and tender. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable - he was the one to suggest the coffee blonde since I usually prefer beer. Would definitely come back!“
“Best BBQ in Tallahassee and nice portions of food that I have to take home most of it. You definitely won't be disappointed. Sorry I didn't take pictures I will make sure my next visit. Thanks to the friendly employees for great hospitality you guys rock!!“
“We stepped in for a cocktail and a light dinner around 8:00. It was a bit late but we were in need of something light. Great atmosphere. We split a wedge salad that was perfect. We also split the filet which was amazing. Best filet I've enjoyed in quite some time. Enjoyed a Star Lord cocktail and coffee to wrap things up. Our waiter had such a great attitude and friendly demeanor that I gave him a $75 tip on a $117 dollar bill. A great end to a wonderful day in Tallahassee.“
