The atmosphere is welcoming and bright, the kitchen is open, and the staff are nice.We ordered the tofu lettuce wraps, bubble potatoes, and sweet potato flautas. Bubble potatoes are light and fluffy with a bang bang (spicy-ish) sauce, flautas were filled with roasted sweet potatoes, and the main dish - the lettuce wraps - were build your own with sides of jalapeno, peanuts, kim chi, mint, cilantro, and sauces. All were delicious!One of the owners, Matthew, stopped by our table to make sure we were having a good experience. Upon finding out it was our anniversary dinner he gave us a dessert of our choice! We had the peanut butter ice box pie - and it was light, airy, chocolatey, and the peanut was present but subtle.We plan to return for dinner tonight to try a few more dishes...and the carrot cake!“

“My first visit was for dinner. We sat at the bar and asked the bartender, "what's good on the menu" to which he replied "I think everything is good". As it turns out, Summer is not one person, but the last name of the family that own the restaurant (including the "bartender"). We ordered ribs and pulled pork (they were out of brisket, which is often the case if you don't get there early!) and let me tell you, the "bartender" was right. The ribs were huge, juicy and falling off the bone. The pulled pork was amazing. Best fried okra I've ever had. The portions were enough to share or second meal. We returned several times to try and score some brisket and HOLY COW its no wonder its always sold out. Its slap yo mama good. Summers Smokehouse may be a little out of the way, but the food is out of this world. I don't write reviews. Ever. But this bbq compelled me to!“
“The Malibu bowl was excellent and exactly what I was craving! Love having a fresh, healthy option that was quick and easy. However, the smoothie I ordered was a bit off as it still had Kale pieces not blended very well and my smoothie wasn’t topped with chia seeds. I could barely taste the fruit in the smoothie. Not sure if that is normal but I won’t be ordering a smoothie again. The bowl will be ordered again and again!“

I love spinach but I have to say I wasn't a fan of this salad. it just didn't have enough cheese, berries or almonds for the amount of spinach. spinach is very bland by nature and none of the other ingredients had enough flavor or quantities to give the salad flavor. as a matter of fact the Green Goddess dressing was not very flavorful either. however, I had the shrimp mushroom & ham linguini.. it was pretty good except it had no ham.. my friend had the MoJo chicken.. he said it was pretty good as well. staff was attentive & friendly. we day outside which was a pleasure. if I'm in the area again I'll give it another try. btw.. check their website or their FB before you go because that's where you'll find their menu for the day.“
“Backwoods Crossing catered our wedding a few weeks ago and did an OUTSTANDING job! We had guests from all over the country and they all commented on how wonderful the food was. Everything they serve is farm to table. We had crab cake balls, bacon wrapped scallops, and the best stuffed mushrooms you have ever tasted.For our dessert we had a vision of a donut cake. Kayla and DJ constructed an actual wedding cake made with krispy cream donuts and it was the centerpiece of the night!The staff at Backwoods was also great to work with. “I went here for the first time, and I ordered the blueberry habanero wings, and I also ordered the she-crab soup. With the cutest little piece of bread in it. Everyone was kind and friendly. They had a bunch of ladies in there with red hats on, and they were funny too. I will be coming back because I like the food it's different, it's unique, and it's very tasty, and you won't break the bank it's affordable. Which is important now these days for people who can't afford all this food out here. “I tried this restaurant when it first opened and the food was great, but the atmosphere and service was really lacking. Fast forward several years and I went again last night and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The fried pimento cheese balls with a peach sauce were amazing, the salmon was perfection and the bread pudding dessert was SO yummy. Amy, our server, was so fun and attentive, too. All in all a great night and we'll be back soon!“

“My husband and I love this place. We were in Tallahassee for 2 months caring for my father in law and we ate here at least 6 times. I usually order the same thing all the time, chicken and waffles, and love it. The waffle is crispy on the outside and flavorful and the chicken is hand breaded and delicious. I did try the biscuits and gravy and wasn't impressed, they both tasted like they were from a can. The staff is amazing, fun and friendly. “Harry's never disappoints! My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and went for lunch. We decided to try Harry's when we first relocated to Florida around five years ago. It is still one of our top restaurants in the area. The food is delicious, (my husband had the Andouille crusted grouper and I had shrimp and grits) and the service is always top notch. “Highly disappointed, my first time ever with a complaint which I never said to anyone. I walk in I’m the only one there at @ 6:40am. They are making a to go order. The waitress never said hi or anything. I set there for 10 min before the cook turned to me and said what you having sir. I gave my simple order and he started to cook it. He finished cooking it and he handed it to me. Finally the waitress ask me what I’m having and I told her waffle, Bacon, coffee with cream. She brings me a cup of coffee but no creamer. I ate half of waffle and I finally got the cooks attention to bring me the creamer. She never came back for a refill. Finally I gave up and paid the bill and handed the cook a $20 tip for a $10 meal and he said thank you. Thank you, cook to the rescue. He knew I was not happy.“

We also split the filet which was amazing. Best filet I've enjoyed in quite some time. Enjoyed a Star Lord cocktail and coffee to wrap things up. Our waiter had such a great attitude and friendly demeanor that I gave him a $75 tip on a $117 dollar bill. A great end to a wonderful day in Tallahassee.“
