“I tried this restaurant when it first opened and the food was great, but the atmosphere and service was really lacking. Fast forward several years and I went again last night and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The fried pimento cheese balls with a peach sauce were amazing, the salmon was perfection and the bread pudding dessert was SO yummy. Amy, our server, was so fun and attentive, too. All in all a great night and we'll be back soon!“
“Generally one can get in and out of here for a quick lunch. We ordered, ate and exited in 30 minutes. We ordered a 6 shooter, which was tasty. I didn't care for the pickles, found them a bit too sour, but the jalapeños gave a nice kick. The inside was comfortable and not noisy, so conversation was easy. Silly, maybe, but my favorite was the tootsie roll treats!“
“A Comforting First Visit: Chicken, Green Beans, and Mashed PotatoesOn my first visit to the restaurant, I was drawn to a classic comfort meal: tender chicken seasoned with herbs, crisp green beans, and creamy mashed potatoes. Each dish brought a sense of home to the table, simple yet satisfying. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the green beans were fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and comforting. This trio wasn’t just food; it felt like a warm welcome, reminiscent of childhood meals.During this visit, I learned about the staff’s kindness through a special story. My wife, during a hospital stay, was offered a taste of the restaurant’s Ratatouille, a gesture that brought her comfort and joy in a tough time. This act of kindness highlighted the restaurant’s commitment to not just great food but also to making a difference in people’s lives. This experience, my first time dining here, reminded me of the simple pleasures of a well-cooked meal and the power of food to bring comfort. I look forward to returning and exploring more of what the restaurant has to offer.“
“We stopped in Sunday around 10am for breakfast and a little remote work. The WiFi was fast and several of the tables had easy outlet access. It wasn't too busy but the food wasn't super fast. I assume that just means things are super fresh. Staff was friendly. The tables needed a good wipe. Sticky on lots of them. The ladies restroom was in good shape, but reports back said the guys wasn't so much.“
“Tried this place for the first time tonight and was thoroughly impressed. Every single thing we ordered was delicious! Green beans were my favorite? My boyfriend loved his pulled pork and the banana pudding is to die for! Place was clean and well kept, and the staff were all so kind! Definitely our new fav BBQ spot in Tallahassee!“
“I ordered the Fancy Nancy on a croissant. The croissant itself was hard on the bottom, which took away from the sandwich. The loaded potato soup had too much cheese and the potatoes were not fully cooked.I love Chicken Salad Chick but today was a horrible experience!“
“NOSTALGIA tastes FINE. 4 stars out of 5 because the shrimp is acceptable and close enough to the Governor's Square Shrimp Pocket from the 1990s and 2000s: If they had a SAUCE option that was more mayo and tartar, I would get foots here weekly even if each single pocket cost me $10. That's how close they are to getting that former taste right.“
“Great food, great staff. If the prices were a little lower, we'd eat there more often, but we've never had a bad experience here. The situation with tipping the cashier is a bit ridiculous as well - this is a trend that needs to die now.“
“Excellent tastes. Surprised at how terrific this meal was. I would or see the burnt ends every night if I were t watching my weight. My husband enjoyed hi sandwich too and he is not a meat eater. Why haven't we heard of this superb Tallahassee restaurant before? This the best food we have had since we moved to Tallahassee at the end of September. We regret that we moving again to be closer to family in Georgia so we only have one or two more times to order this delicious food. We hope that by doing this review at least friends who visit here will try to order from this varied menu. Burnt ends are a Southern delicacy but a good idea would be a sampler that includes the bake beans.“
“I have grown to love this place. The service has gotten way better. The food is great and I like going inside as well. I like the decor. This day I ordered takeout my children got chicken and waffles and the chicken tender meal and I got a slim salad with no chicken and it was amazing!“
“Good food for fast food joint. ServiceWas good. We ordered three boxes which was enough food for about 5 people in my opinion. Everything was nice and hot. Had to get extra sauce as the sauce is a must for both the fries and the chicken and even the bread. I will return when I need a quick bite.“
“Lindy’s Chicken has a long history in Tallahassee, Florida and I’ve been eating their fried chicken and other delicious delectables for over 30 years. I highly recommend this restaurant for fried chicken and just southern cuisine, period. I have always been satisfied by the quality of the food and the quality of the service I receive at Lindy’s Chicken.“
“Wow, best exceptional customer service ever! My family of 10 on a roadtrip from West Palm Beach (some flew from Alaska & California on a military break) of course asked for Bojangles and the BO crew and food did not disappoint! They were very accommodating with our huge order and made us feel at home by making our food fresh and bringing to our tables. Love their positivity and seems like a cool place to work and eat southern food! Thank you to the 12/17/23 afternoon crew of Demetriona & the gentleman who was so nice to us. Happy holidays!“
“If you are driving on 10 & don’t want chain food, this is your stop. It is the rare place that isn’t even out of your way, but would be worth driving extra if it was. We had a boar burger and salad with roasted corn, sautéed shiitakes, roasted red pepper and a crab cake, and bread pudding for dessert. Delicious.“
