“I couldn’t help but write this review! First off, I was genuinely trying to leave a tip, but I couldn’t find an option anywhere. When I asked about it, the manager kindly told me not to worry about it.

My parents and I used to drive all the way to Thomasville, Georgia, just to get a taste of this amazing chicken before Church’s opened here in Tallahassee. Needless to say, we were incredibly excited when we heard they were finally bringing a location to Tally.

I’ve had the opportunity to speak with the store manager a few times, and I actually ran into him at Costco a few months ago. I’m not completely sure how to spell his name, but I believe it’s pronounced “C Moore.” He seems like a genuinely great person. I’ve noticed how he interacts with customers, whether it’s giving someone extra sauce packets or making sure portions are generous, and his attention to customer service really stands out.

The way he treats people goes above and beyond what you’d normally expect from a fast-food restaurant, especially one specializing in fried chicken. A lot of places deliver average food and service while still expecting customers to tip, but here I was actually trying to give back because of how well I was treated, and they insisted I keep my money.

That alone says a lot about the kind of business they’re building. In my opinion, Church’s has set a new standard for customer service and quality in Tallahassee. I’ll gladly keep coming back!“

“The absolute BEST fried chicken, not only in Tallahassee, but any city we have been to. My son brought home a family meal pack for his college buddies who were hanging out for game night. They were all incredibly complimentary about the taste and were actually surprised at how flavorful the chicken could be.

Zaxby's never disappoints when you need a huge, satisfying meal. That milkshake is an absolute must-try if you love sweet treats!“

“Good experience. The food was good. The plantains were excellent. It's not a fun selection as in a regular Pollo Tropical, but sufficient. The grilled chicken was rather dry and the Cuban sandwich was lacking flavor in the pork and virtually no mustard. Not sure I'd go back there. There's other options in the student union to try. It's a decent back up place. The service seemed super fast for the number of folks there that day. It was packed. We used the kiosk so there's really no interaction with the employees.“

“My 1st time getting food from this place. BEWARE and STAY AWAY. A young lady brought her food back and ask for a refund. The cook started yelling at the young lady and snatched the food out of her hand. The cook then stormed to the back and yelled something to the manager as far as the young lady's refund and the manager came from the back with a bad attitude He kicked the swinging door open and yelled at the cashier. The manager knew he was in the wrong as he apologized to the cashier. The way both was throwing around their bad attitude made me believe they owned the place. I asked the manager who was the supervisor and was the black guy the owner. With a nasty tone, the manager stated he was the manager and the other guy was the cook. I couldn't believe what I had and was experiencing. I will never come back to this business. I completely understand was business is slow. The cashier apologized on my way out. I told her it wasn't her, it's definitely the 2 men that has bad customer service on top of a bad attitude. Save yourself the disrespect and don't come to the California Grill on Tennessee St. When I got home to eat my food, I understood why she would think the rice was old. The rice was cold as if it came out the refrigerator.“
