“This was my first experience at a Slim Chickens. I felt like overall the restaurant was well presented, clean, efficient service, and very tasty food. I loved the tenders and wings combos on offer. We also enjoyed the shakes.

Like most places now there is a self service kiosk/screen, but also you can order at the counter with a human interaction. The staff were friendly and answered our questions.

The food came out fresh and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were very generous - enough to share really, especially if adding a shake. The restaurant has an open feel, with a modern/industrial vibe. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this location, and would recommend the brand.“

“I ordered through Uber Eats and didn't see they would close at 5 Pm and ordered at 4:55 Pm (I'm so sorry). The lady was so incredibly nice who spoke to me, and everyone who made my food to which didn't have to for they had already techinally closed by the time I got there. It was incredibly sweet of them, and I want to make it publicly known how much that meant to not only myself, but my family who also LOVED the food! “The absolute BEST fried chicken, not only in Tallahassee, but any city we have been to. My son brought home a family meal pack for his college buddies who were hanging out for game night. They were all incredibly complimentary about the taste and were actually surprised at how flavorful the chicken could be.

They made us feel right at home as out-of-towners, and I can only imagine they treat their locals just as well. The restaurant was spotless, very clean, and organized.

I highly recommend this restaurant for fried chicken and just southern cuisine, period. The drive-thru and restaurant were very busy, but the drive-thru like went quickly. My order was ready by the time I pulled up to the window. “Good experience. The food was good. The plantains were excellent. It's not a fun selection as in a regular Pollo Tropical, but sufficient. The grilled chicken was rather dry and the Cuban sandwich was lacking flavor in the pork and virtually no mustard. Not sure I'd go back there. There's other options in the student union to try. It's a decent back up place. The service seemed super fast for the number of folks there that day. It was packed. We used the kiosk so there's really no interaction with the employees.“

“My 1st time getting food from this place. BEWARE and STAY AWAY. A young lady brought her food back and ask for a refund. The cook started yelling at the young lady and snatched the food out of her hand. The cook then stormed to the back and yelled something to the manager as far as the young lady's refund and the manager came from the back with a bad attitude He kicked the swinging door open and yelled at the cashier. The manager knew he was in the wrong as he apologized to the cashier. The way both was throwing around their bad attitude made me believe they owned the place. I asked the manager who was the supervisor and was the black guy the owner. With a nasty tone, the manager stated he was the manager and the other guy was the cook. I couldn't believe what I had and was experiencing. I will never come back to this business. I completely understand was business is slow. The cashier apologized on my way out. I told her it wasn't her, it's definitely the 2 men that has bad customer service on top of a bad attitude. Save yourself the disrespect and don't come to the California Grill on Tennessee St. When I got home to eat my food, I understood why she would think the rice was old. The rice was cold as if it came out the refrigerator.“
